1280: Jazz offered Harris and #12 for Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson? (Update: Only for Parker)

They just went to commercial and hopefully will elaborate more after the break.

Found what they're talking about:

Devin Harris: Report: Jazz offer Harris for Parker
Devin Harris - G - UTA - Jun. 23 - 11:40 am et
The Jazz offered Devin Harris and the No. 12 pick for Tony Parker, but the Spurs declined, a source tells SI.com.
The Spurs, of course, wanted the Jazz to take back Richard Jefferson's three years and $30.4 million. That's not happening. Until San Antonio backs off on their demand that Jefferson be included in any deal, it's unlikely they'll find any takers. Jun. 23 - 11:40 am et

that's what's being reported on rotoworld..

would u guys do it?

sorry if this has been posted already

So yeah, they offered Harris and the #12 for Tony Parker but San Antonio insists that Jefferson be included in any offer for Tony Parker.

What's Parker's contract and Jefferson's? I don't like it. Both are old. In rebuilding and re-tooling stages, you usually get younger

Thats two pretty big contracts to take on. If I was the Spurs I would do it in a heartbeat. Parker is getting older and Jefferson was way overpaid. That opens up a lot of money for the Spurs to get someone through free agency. I don't like it for the Jazz

Richard Jefferson: Three years ($8.4 million this year)
Tony Parker: Four years ($13.5 million per year)

Keep in mind, the Spurs want Jefferson included or no deal. In other words, it's not gonna happen.

at this stage in his career, Tony Parker = Devin Harris. So why do we need to throw in the #12 pick? I say, pass...

Oh of course, Parker is better than Harris. That's just way too much salary to take on when we're already over the cap and into the Luxury Tax area.

Plus, Parker's been dealing with Planar/Plantar Fascitis on one or both feet. That's not fun. I suffer from the same thing.
