What's new

Jazz have been extremely aggressive in FA, re-sign Ricky Rubio and pick up Derrick Favors option

If Exum is our future why are we doing everything we can to hinder his development? He gets a measly 16 mpg, and is not allowed to play through mistakes unlike our veteran who constantly makes terrible mistakes and plays.

This season has turned me into a pessimist. We get beat 4-1 in round 2 and don't improve one ounce during the off-season. We put all the pressure on one guy(a sophomore) to carry the entire offensive load. Meanwhile we're 7th in the West and stand pat while Sacramento, Houston, Portland and LAL make small moves but moves that make them better.

This team needs help and the more DL procrastinates the further away we get. We have Rudy for 2 more seasons and Rudy wants to win and I won't blame him for leaving if we continue this philosophy.

Exum will get enough minutes, don't worry.

The Jazz are trying to win games.
Its not just about minutes though, its who he gets to share the floor with. Are we really gonna continue to not play Rudy and Dante together?? Our 2 most elite defenders whove had undeniable chemistry since Dante was a rookie?

Idk what you're talking about tbh. Exum will be fine with the minutes he gets.

You *** clowns cried that Snyder benching him in late November would hurt him too iirc.

Wtf? How do you not understand wanting to see Exum next to Gobert/Mitchell/Korver/Ingles?

I wanted him moved, said nothing about it hurting him. Hes dealt with that **** from Quin for 4 yrs, im sure hes used to it.

Exum was getting more minutes towards the end of December than his season average, he was trending up in that regard.

No, I think it's a pretty forgone conclusion. Maybe if they strike out on everyone, but I find it hard to believe they can't get Mirotic with how tax burdened I'm assuming the Bucks are going to be.

The Bucks are most likely not going to be in any trouble financially. They only have 55M tied in salary and dead cap for next season once they waive George Hill. A realistic scenario would be for them to re-sign Lopez at 8M, Brogdon somewhere around 20M, Mirotic 17M, and then choose between Middleton and Bledsoe (re-signing KM makes much more sense for them, but they'll have to be willing to pay him the max), and they would still be comfortably under the luxury tax so they can fill the roster with a few minimum contracts.

Although I don't agree with some of the numbers you gave, I completely agree with the message. The Bucks will probably keep everybody they want to keep from this roster. I definitely think they keep Brogdon and Middleton. Bledsoe and Lopez are probably and Mirotic is TBD. Overall, I think they end up keeping 4 of those 5 guys.

Middleton will get the max ($35+)
Brogdon will get $25+
Lopez will get around $10
Bledsoe probably gets a deal similar to Hill or Teague ($18-20 per year)
Mirotic I just don't know at this point

Don’t worry. If they’re both back this summer, it will be on team-friendly deals that will become valuable assets at the deadline.

It takes two to tango, though. I would be surprised if Rubio wanted to re-sign next summer and most likely find himself in the same position within the next 6 to 18 months, with a front office that does not think he's good enough.

It did hurt him, but then Quin did a 180 and started playing him and using him correctly for the first time in his coaching tenure. It was insane and I'm still a little bit shocked that he did it.
