Hood is already shooting lights out in 2 games ,of course we know his history of his little aches and pains keeping him from playing every game.
Kanter will get 20 plus minutes and should be a great backup behind Nurkic. Utah Jazz fanz hate the Turk but he's definitely going to be a good pickup for Portland .

but I’m not sure that they are thinking with kanter.

Kanter is 26 ,Hood is 26 , Labissiere is 22

Most of the Blazers are in this age range and presently ahead of the Jazz in the playoff run. When it comes to the Jazz it seems like they want older players .
Jazz are never going to get high end FA's and should be looking for players like Boozer and Okur were ,young and ready to emerge with a teams confidence in them

Who are the older core players on the jazz?

They have always loved our sloppy seconds. Tried for Paul, stole wes, Hood, Kanter, they will pick up Mack or Burke when they hit waivers...

I have mad respect for the Blazers. Yet another excellent season with only one real star on the roster, and one that's challenged defensively, especially with a backcourt teammate like McCollum. Sure, CJ can score and Nurk is having a great year, but the for the most part the roster is built on a bunch of solid role players and little else (other than Lillard), and they're kind of overachieving once again compared to the competition. Kanter's defense is non-existent, but it's not like they intend to dominate on that end anyway, and right now he's better than Leonard and Collins, who's got a lot of upside but is having a rough sophomore year.

I hope and pray Kanter gets 20+ minutes for Portland. But that will do the opposite of help them. He's a terrible player.

They just whoop GS.

Still waiting on that self ban, buddy. Holding yourself accountable to your own words and actions is imperative for a society.

The Portland Trailblazers organization respects the Utah Jazz scouting reports. There's a reason we picked him so early, and offensively he can be effective. He's not going to take starter status away from Aminu/Nurkic. I could see him getting 20-25 minutes anchoring a second unit on a middle - end of the pack(defensively) club.

That game was a gift from the NBA. GS was gassed from playing us the night before. If the games had been reversed I bet the Jazz would have won.
