Is that actually true? I've read that it definitely is on the increase and due to things like vaccination -- which contrary to all the establishment claims, is not completely safe (a state representative recently died after a flu vaccination) -- environmental toxins in the air, water, and in our food which are causing a rash of increases in many neurological conditions in addition to autism like Parkinsons, Alzheimers, MS, etc.
Vaccinations are much safer than not having them. i think the base levels of chemicals in food products, pesticides, preservatives and they way they accumulate in our bodies might have something to do with it but what the hell do i know?

You are probably right about vaccinations, but if you are healthy and your immune system is strong, they're not worth the risk, because there is some risk. The problem with what all the medical pros are saying is that they claim is no risk whatsoever, and that simply is not true.

Vaccinations causing autism is one of the dumbest myths in modern society today. It's like the "playing Mozart to babies while they sleep will make them smarter" myth except way worse because it can actually cause a whole range of negative health consequences for the poor children because their parents were too stupid to do some research to see if the myth was true and just ran with it.

I've never heard anyone claim that there is zero risk with vaccines, everyone knows that any medicine with actual working ingredients will have some risk of side effects. And while some vaccines might not be worth it when you are young and healthy, others (like for examples measles) are hugely important, not for you, but for those who cannot for some reason take the vaccine, and instead have to depend on herd immunity. The idea that measles vaccines (and others) are a cause of autism is just a well propagated lie.

I worked in a pharmacy for close to 8 years, it would anger me when parents would come in and would give me a *scoff* "no, OUR FAMILY doesn't vaccinate". Like they are protecting their kids and that medical science are the weird ones. I may or may not have gotten in trouble on many occasions for "educating" customers on the facts about vaccinations and not "Facebook Soccer Mom" stories that are made up garbage.
My boss wouldn't really get me in trouble for it though, because what I was telling customers was the truth.

As a father of a moderate/severely autistic boy, I say AMEN to the words and sentiments of Joe and Renae...
The actual terminology is "diagnostic substitution". Kids that in earlier eras would have been classified as "morons", etc. are now being classified as autistic.
There is no connection between vaccinations and autism.
Please show me one one establishment authority (such as the CDC) that claims vaccines are completely safe. All of the authorities I have read from acknowledges there are side effects, allergies, etc. to vaccines.
Humans bodies have an organ called the liver, which processes most environmental toxins out of our bodies. Autism is at least partially inherited.
You are completely, utterly wrong. Firstly, one of the reasons these pathogens are so successfully is that they mimic, in part, some human chemical signals. That means any immune system so "strong" that it gets all pathogens also starts attacking human cells. This is one sort of autoimmune disease. Worse, you get have this type of condition and still get the measles, mumps, etc. Secondly, even for healthy people, measles or mumps can be fatal. IIRC, if you catch mumps later in life, they can sterilize you as well.
I heartily welcome any corrections from anyone with genuine medical training.
It's only safe to go without vaccine when you are relying on everyone else around you to take vaccines. Only a jackass makes everyone else assume a risk for his own safety.

Vaccines have nothing to do with Autism. Andrew Wakefield who fabricated his research and claimed they do was stripped of his licence and banned from practising medicine. Yet his fake research did so much damage as naive people who believed it stopped vaccinating and now we have tons of almost extinct diseases on a rise again.
