To be fair to LeBron, he is fully committed to the tank now to make the Lakers pick more appealing to NOLA for Davis #StriveForTankness

It's funny, the schedule can accidentally advantage certain teams this way. Jazz had to play Memphis at full strength at the beginning of the season before they blew it up. We caught GSW when they were on a mission to beat us during one of their strong stretches. SAS catches them dragging their feet to the end of the season. We caught a few teams early who were hobbled by injury. We and Portland both catch a rested OKC team while playing on a back to back. All sorts of little things throughout the season.I was really hoping the Spurs would lose tonight as well but it looks like they're gonna hang on and beat the Warriors. This will be 9 wins in a row for the Spurs.
Anyone think the Lakers are destined to get the #1 pick? The league wants a contender in LA. Its good for ratings.

The next two nights are sneaky tough. We beat the Knicks by a million points in our last meeting and they could come out pissed. Then we have to travel to Atlanta overnight and play the Hawks tomorrow who’ve given us a lot of trouble recently.
It's devious and goes way deeper than you can ever know.Yep the totally corrupt NBA that let the Knicks be **** for 20 years and gave Cleveland 3 first rounders in 4 years. And Duncan to San Antonio instead of Boston.
Man, worst corruption ever.
We will win them both. We are clicking and they are thinking about Zion while we think about playoffs. The next two nights are sneaky tough. I think we need a neologism for conspiracy theories that have no evidence (so they aren't theories) and for which there is no evident conspiracy. I nominate "conory", emphasizing the "con" part.
Nobody is ever arguing that the league is dragging the dead Knicks corpse to the finals. Instead, view this more as you would white privilege. Nobody is holding out "help wanted: unless you're black" signs. In a similar vein, the league is not sitting around arguing about seeding and who advances and when, but think of it more as the wind at your back, clearing a path, or putting small obstacles in other paths. People using "OMG the Knicks suck" as evidence for the league being completely legitimate are about as equivalent as saying "OMG my white cousin is a homeless crack addicts, lol so much for white privilege" or "lol league rigged because San Antonio won so many titles" in conjunction with "lol yeah America's racist and that's why they elected a black president!"
This entirely misses the mark.
No. The 1st pick doesn’t make them contenders anyway.
