I usually camp with booze, tarp, sleeping bag, and a fishing pole.
Stop referring to your old fella as a fishing pole, its disgusting.
What else am I supposed to call a pole I use for fishing?
That depends on the amount of puss and discharge really...
Looks like you're escaping the dust bowl. Don't worry, I hear there's good work in California picking oranges.Kind of prepared for anything though...

I went to city of rocks this winter for a minute. I have friends that climb there religiously, like a pilgrimage man. It's a neat place.I'm thinking of going to the Devil's Playground and City of Rocks this year. Has anyone gone there before?
Bill the ElkI camp a ton in the summer for work, so I get kind of burned out on it. But I did do a sweet backcountry lake trip in Yellowstone last fall that I still think about. We canoed in and camped for a few days, each night we'd be woken up several times by bill elk bugling, caught a bunch of really big lake trout, and just had fun with zero outside world interruptions.
He plays tenor saxophone and really likes the elk interns.Bill the Elk
