Uta vs. Hou: Game 2 off/def strategy change up?

Gobert is an enigmatic. Jazz can't win without him, but can they win with him?

Can a team afford to pay him supermax and still compete?

Harden has been the Jazz' defensive focal point and he's completely dismantled the Jazz, it's a shame Donovan hasn't even shown a glimpse of doing that yet but I still have hope he'll figure it out for at least one game before the series ends.
But we aren't defending Harden. We are giving him the floater or kick out. And remember, Harden was a bench player and took a few years to emerge.

It was so lame to draw the Rockets in Round 1. Why couldn’t they have had a better record this season?

We feasted on the weaklings in the league and struggled against actual playoff teams.

I just wish we were at least in these games by single digits but have really only played each of the third quarters decently when HOU is on autopilot.

You could imagine whatever you want, I deal in reality. If Melo (NCAA Champion, Olympic gold medal champion, 24 points per game...) were on Houston right now, Adam Silver would be implementing a slaughter rule to stop this massacre of the Jazz.
Dude. He would be slowing down the offense He wants post ups from 15 feet out. He wouldn't see the floor in this offense

We need basketball players. Real basketball players who can dribble, shoot and do a little more with better than average athleticism. Who do we have that can do those things? Ingles but he’s limited athletically. Mitchell. Sorry, he’s not a natural shooter and needs work. Rubio lmao. They have Paul, Harden, and Gordon as well as other guys like Green who can do those things.

People can rip into Hack all they want but in today’s NBA, we could use a Zach Levine who can dribble, penetrate, shoot and is athletic as ****. With good coaching, I see no reason he can’t improve as a defender. I’m done with awkward ****s who have severe limitations.

That's literally how the Jazz are defending him because they don't want to give him everything so they're choosing to let him have the kick out and floater lol. It's the entire premise behind the Bucks-esque gameplan for him in the first place.

And it’s working just swimmingly.

And Archie brought him up but Herro looked like the most natural basketball player in the tourney to me. His shot was so ****ing natural and smooth as was his dribble. Pretty sure he has above average athleticism too as I recall a nice coast to coast dunk.

I just don’t know where he’d fit on our team.

How the **** does he call a timeout without having the ball?
