Uta vs. Hou: Game 2 off/def strategy change up?

Thanks. I guess I was tainted more by the last series than the first one. Jazz did progressively worse after reaching the WC Finals. Of course that was the year Dallas was upset by GS after winning nearly 70 games.

Yeah...had Dallas won that series, Utah probably bows out in the semifinals...which has been their ceiling as a franchise for the last 20 years.

Ummm I live in Utah. My whole life minus my mission in Houston. Which is a trashy place where I served.

That's great. But no one in the media has been positive. In fact Ben Anderson is one of the most critical. Andy is always a realist. Tony is an NBA fan, not a Jazz fan, so he's never biased.

So when you say the local media just spreads ignorance because the team owns them is flat out stupid and untrue.

I don't care that you served a mission btw. But thanks for telling me about it.

Fine, just telling you I have been to Houston it is a trashy city.

Not really they are using fake #s to justify that garbage defense. They have been pumping stretch players all year long talking about spacing. That Crowder is better than Favors all garbage.

Are you serious? He dropped 38 on the okc in game 6 with everyone watching..

Whay are u in about

Yeah, I'm serious. I'm not saying it as an absolute. Mitchell's worst games (or some of them) come when he's on TNT, ESPN or against Houston in the playoffs. Are you seriously denying this because of your one reference?

It's sad to think that the Rockets are the third most important sport in their city per their beat writer. Almost as sad as how the Jazz have shown up. That said, I'll give credit where it's due. The Rockets have played remarkable and better ball.

The weirdest thing is, Capella has outplayed Gobert in both series the last two seasons. Sometimes, matchups work in your favor more than skill.

Lol

People say Ben is negative cause Ben writes how he sees the game and doesn't sugarcoat it. I saw a lot of people bitching about his article after last game on Facebook. I read it and I realized how many cupcakes, brats, delusional people are out there. Jazz fans, and I'd imagine any other, take things too personal or read into it or deny it.

Oh, did Ben say the poor Jazz got dominated from the get go and were outclassed? Did that offend you? Is he a terrible, mean and negative writer because so? If so, grow the **** up, you pansies. It's pathetic brats like you that had their mommies sugarcoat everything so you can get upset when you don't get your way.

I hate people like that. ****ing delusional.

Rudy isn't the problem, never has been . He should be playing in a more uptempo system like almost every team in the NBA is playing but Utah !! The ball should have been put in Exum's hands as soon as he was healthy , maybe he would never have gotten hurt. DM looks less like a stud ball player because he needs to be running and gunning because he has the game for it. Jazz have been trying to get 12 Rudy Gobert's thinking their going to win on defense and go deep into the playoffs. When in actuality they look like what they are unathletic overachievers during the regular season to over matched in the playoffs. Rudy's athleticism is being wasted in Utah. They don't need anymore Boris Diaw's ,Joe Johnson's ,Kyle Korver's,George Hill's, Raul Neto's during the Rudy Gobert era .

Born in Seattle before moving to Utah. My dad grew up in Seattle and was a die hard hawks fan; he passed along that fandom to me at an early age. Try harder, b!tch.
As much as Firegirl can defend herself on this forum and does not need a lurker like me saying anything, the use of that particular pejorative shows an incredible lack of class. Can’t you express your position without stooping to such a low level of decorum and common decency?

I'll apologize if that poster is a female. That's my bad - I didn't even think about that.

But let's be real. This a message board made for jazz fanatics. Are we really going to freak out about how sensitive we are after a jazz beatdown? I'll tone it down to PG just for you next time.

Thanks, Pinkman.

I love that Rudy is the problem narrative. He hasn’t been good, but let’s chill.

Houston is beating us with s player that is diet Rudy. DM clearly isn’t there yet and we don’t have any play making or transcendent wing players.

I'm not even mad. Something has felt off all year.

All of our players are talented, it's just some are not elite. Players like Ricky, Royce, Thabo, Jae, etc are all good and have merit. Are they elite? How do they match up against the elite? Is Ingles a starter on a team that can beat the Warriors/Rockets etc? These are all the tough questions we have to be honest about.

If we make at least one or two legit upgrades we'll be in the hunt next year. Just because we are getting worked right now doesn't mean we wont be elite or much better next year. We have a lot of a talent, and some holes. It's time to make a few key moves, and come back stronger next year.

Rudy is doing all he can on defense. We are putting him in bad situations. But, he need to develop some offensive. He is giving the Rockets the out of guarding him really well because he can't take advantage of smaller players. That is why a healthy Embiid is way more valuable than Rudy. As much as we love Rudy.
