I recognize that there's a chance 0 of these are even options in free agency. Pretending you had your pick of these options however for the Jazz, which would you choose? I just want to gauge which situation Jazz fans would mostly prefer.

Keep in mind the smaller contracts means more $ left over for other moves. Assume all contracts are 4 year deals.

I went Russell. $28 million is a fair contract for him. I think he has a higher upside than Brogdon, and I think he can create more which is what we so sorely lack. Russell and Donovan would work well together for the next decade.

Middleton is the other one that sticks out, but I don't think Middleton is available for under $30+.

We should verbally offer a contract to all of these guys on the first day of the moratorium. If they say no, we can still keep Favors. If we spend our moratorium talking to our own free agents again, what a freaking disappointment that would be.

At this point, contract is irrelevant for me. I'd take Kemba because he's the only guy who can create offense and really get points. As much as I'd like Harris, I think he'd be more fluff that can score points, but would he have helped us the past couple games? I mean, I know he would, but how much?

Kemba Walker.

1) Kemba Walker
2) D'Angelo Russell
3) Tobias Harris
4) Malcolm Brogdon
5) Khris Middleton
6) Bojan Bogdanovic
This is a pretty good list. Kemba should be acquirable and is exactly what we need at the point. If we can somehow retain favors as backup C, bring in a couple of shooting specialists on lighter contacts and pick up kemba our entire Outlook changes immediately.

It would take the full max to get Middleton, $28 million a year wouldn't get it done.

I chose Khris... all contracts being the same I’d prolly take Harris. Kemba is tempting... in a vacuum he’s the best so I should pick him.

D'Angelo Russell is the obvious answer. there's not even a remotely close 2nd. How could you look at Mitchell's strengths AND WEAKNESSES, and not conclude 23 year old D'Lo is the guy...

He is completely and utterly unobtainable though. So i'm gonna omit him and then choose from the rest of the list;

Kemba Walker.

? He literally averages 20

Dudes under/over is usually 20.5. You know how much money he has cost me this season??

Also, the Clips only got better after trading him, no team that has traded Tobias has missed him and you wanna MAX that guy.

Realistically, how much of a shot do you guy's think we actually have at signing any of these guys? DL's only high profile free agent signing up to this point was Joe Johnson and he was about 7 years past his prime. I'd like to be optimistic about this offseason but I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

I don’t think we’ll land any of them. Not because I don’t believe we could land a good free agent here, just that I don’t think any of this crop are coming. That leaves us with trades, and unless Blake Griffin goes on the market for picks and salary filler, we’re stuck with a rinse and repeat of Conley or Kevin Love. There’s no “wait until next off-season and maintain flexibility” option. This is the end of the road, which is why I’ve been trying to prep everyone for the inevitable Kevin Love.

Russell shouldn't be on the list because I guarantee he's not going anywhere.

I'd go:

Kemba
Harris
Middleton
Brogdan
Bojan

These guys? 1% that we sign any of them. So no, I don't think we stand a chance.

Our realistic best targets are via trade like @infection has been saying. I think we could get Love pretty easily, but that plan sucks. Conley might be in play, but once again, meh. Maybe we go after Rozier, but I have soured on that depending on price.

I think we need to get creative with picks. Like I've said earlier, we should trade this year's pick for a slightly better projected 2020 pick. Then if we can't sign a big free agent, try to get another pick from Charlotte or Miami by taking a contract. At the deadline, we would have 3 2020 1st round picks to use to target the best available player.

Of all the guys on the list I think Bogdonovic might be the most realistic/attainable. He's turned into a pretty damn good player, he really carried the Pacers this year once Oladipo went down. He would be a really good second option on offense for us.
