What's new

Game 3 - Rockets @ Jazz

Fans starting new threads to bitch about the refs... Setting a new standard for sore losers. Pathetic.

I guess some still don’t recognize that we aren’t as good as Houston. Most of us seem to have come to grips with it.

What strikes me about the Rockets is the amount of time they spend complaining to the refs about the most blatant fouls. Its obviously gamesmanship, partly to piss off their opponents and partly to intimidate the refs. We should look to do more of this next year, maybe take it to a whole new level. Having only seen half of today's game i was struck by the interaction between harden and Crowder after the great floppers obvious foul on DM, Crowder bites on the windbags BS and it ends in a 2 minute review/delay which the Rockets use to regroup and get back into the game.

We should do more of this, Rudy should decapitate someone under the ring and then refuse to admit to being in the same postcode, this constant complaining must work or they wouldn't do it. By joining the fold we either benefit or force the league to do something about it.

*I don't think this is why we lose the series it just ***** me to tears.

All teams are doing this. OKC, Philly, and Golden State are talking to the refs nonstop. It’s something that the NBA needs to address ASAP. Unfortunately, Holocaust survivor Adam Silver doesn’t seem to address any of the league’s problems. Flopping, tanking, and players bitching at refs have all worsened under his tenure.

Thriller, you don't have an answer to my question, coward, because you know I am right. You went off on me for stating the truth.

So I was right and you were wrong and you know it. Congrats on throwing your team under the bus dummy. Your either dumb or getting paid by the NBA. The Rockets get a huge advantage from the refs, and you know it , and you are defending it. Have fun rooting for another 40 years of the Washington Generals of the NBA, because the Jazz will NEVER win a championship , no matter who the players are, because of people like you.

I started a new thread because I am trying to figure out why you think it is a foul on Gobert when the only contact on the play is Harden whacking Gobert in the face, and then you call me all sorts of foul names instead of just explaining what it is you think you saw. How did Gobert foul Harden?

Foul names? Where? The only person I see directly calling others “foul names” is you.

We’ve already been over that play not just once but twice in this game thread. Unless you have anything else to add we’re done here.

Lol. This is a funny post. I’d love to be paid by the nba. Just like I was paid by George Soros to ask Jason Chaffetz questions at Bingham high. I never get these checks though. They always get lost in the mail. Weird.

You have never been over it, you just call me names. Answer the question. Your refusal proves you know you are wrong. Explain where you saw contact other than Gobert getting hit in the face with H's left hand! You never have attempted to give an answer.

So if Harden hits Gobert in the face 6 times, is that 6 fouls on Gobert? I'm just trying to understand the rules in Thriller World here.

I’m so done with him... I remember when Hill ran this team I just felt like we’d get great looks and yeah we played slow but the offense ran so much better.

Ricky ain’t a floor general and is too limited to control the ball as much as he does... gives the defense an instance release valve.

Honestly at this point he’s backup material... ain’t like we have great options. Neto is feisty but would not holdup on defense.

neto is too ****ing small and unathletic to make a difference. what's completely absurd is that grayson didn't get any minutes, especially in the 3rd quarter when the offense went to complete ****. he's the only guard on the team other than mitchell who is athletic enough to put pressure on the defense, be a threat from 3, or create a shot 1 on 1. i kept waiting for his number to be called, and I'm still shocked that he didn't get any minutes.

That sounds like something someone would say if they were getting paid off by the NBA. Thriller, damn it, explain how Gobert fouled Hrdn on the play where Harden whacked Gobert in the face with a minute left in game 3. Just once, just do it.

He’s not ready though... the slow start hurt us and him. We felt pressure to make the playoffs so couldn’t afford to play and groom the rookie. With some regular rotation minutes he could have maybe been ready to give us something... maybe not. He also had the ankle injury that hurt his progress.

I don’t mind trying it though... we need to raise the ceiling on our offense somehow... maybe he has a moment.

i hear you, i just don't like that excuse anymore for not playing him when the team has been on the brink of elimination. he got great reps in the gleague, and had a great last month of the season. no reason not to throw him out there now when ricky, kyle, and raul have basically done nothing of worth on either side of the ball. at least i know grayson will compete and be aggressive on both ends, draw fouls, and create offense so that donovan is not constantly having to be the only guy who tries to bail the team out. harden and paul should've been fouled out if they had difficult guys they had to guard, but instead they got to guard ricky, kyle, and raul while gordon neutralized donovan.

Yeah I was just franklining the thread for a bit.

Yeah you aren’t the type to dog on our guys. I was just commenting on how it ain’t good.

DM is more self aware at his young age than Westbrook will ever be. He will get more efficient... he cares a lot and works so hard. Same with Rudy... those guys will get to their ceilings as players... I have no doubt about that.

I generally agree with this.

One slight fear I have is with Mitchell’s shot. I don’t feel like looking up his shot charts right now but I’d guess he’s not very good (mediocre or bad even?) on catch and shoot. He seems to shoot best when he has the ball in his hands and can find his own shot in rhythm.
