What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Three way---Davis to Boston, Gobert to Pellicans, Hayward and a pile of picks to Jazz?

Who says no? (besides Gobert)
Nope.

Boston gets AD
NOLA gets Gobert
Utah gets Jaylen Brown, Rozier (S&T) and picks

Boston does it because they get to keep Tatum plus get AD.

NOLA gets a great player who fits and probably stays.

We get two good players and multiple great picks.

This is the worst trade you’ve ever proposed.

This is the worst trade you’ve ever proposed.

It all depends on your view of Rudy. Generational talent or overpaid based on current style and projected trends.

I first typed it as sarcasm....but the thought is interesting.

I was saying that if we traded for Conley, to use MLE on Jabari. Millsap wouldn't be bad, either. I haven't seen much of Millsap recently. How's his D? Also, sign DWill, too.

Millsap is an absolute upgrade offensively to Favors and we all know he's a work horse type player who rebounds and gets physical. He can stretch the D in ways that Favors cannot.

I would actually be in favor of signing DWill but the one drawback is that he's a rythm player and three would struggle with a bench role.

Getting Conley prior to FA and operating over the cap would be a pretty big advantage if we can manage it this summer. Could then work lopsided trades (within 25% or $5M), MLE, BAE... possibly retain Ricky's FA rights for sign and trade purposes (not sure he will get more than MLE from a team... but ya never know).

Just opens things up a bit imo.

Millsap has looked pretty washed when I've watched him. At MLE money I don't think you can say no (assuming its 1-2 years). Still a decent player but may not have enough tread left on the tires.

Could be. But, he also could be one of the only productive playmakers that we could get given how appreciated he is here.

The Jazz need to add a major talent to this team. There's no point rearranging deck chairs. They should also draft for upside or bust. There are too many third-tier FAs floating around to worry about drafting an 8th man.

I'd be willing to trade a player, our 1st-rd pick and a 2nd-rd pick to move up from 23 to 14 or 15 in this draft if there's a clear talent to move for--Doumbouya, White or maybe Porter Jr.
