We're not two years into a rebuild. Losing Hayward didn't mean we lost everyone on the team. We will had a stud in place (Rudy) with other strong complimentary pieces around him.

So losing a franchise player means nothing?

We've been to the playoffs three straight years. Advancing 2 out of 3 times, and you want to blow it up. Yep. Nice plan.

Someone get this guy a ****ing NBA team, because he obviously knows everything.

Yep, I said to blow it up. You're a quick one.

Except, that guy was anything but a franchise player. Not with his lack of character and passion for the game.

No one thought that at the time. I'm pretty confident that most of Jazz nation had the worst July 4th ever that year.

Oh please, you make it sound so dramatic. While the sentiment that you describe around Jazz nation might be true the Jazz dodged quite the bullet. I was definitely not in the group of fans that mourned the loss I know that much. His demeanor on and off the court was such a turn off for me and I’m sure, many others.

It wasn't a success, but it wasn't horrible either. They really should have won a couple more games to avoid Houston in the playoffs. But they didn't and paid the price. That being said, it's not like it was some sort of awful season either. They got 50 wins and made the playoffs.

Exactly people! We're a good team. Not a great one........YET.

It WAS dramatic! You obviously are in minority or you're just lying. Either way, it was a huge deal when it went down.

But, I'm with you, I'm glad he's gone. DM might never have had the opportunity to grow like he has with him here.

My whole point is this: When Gordon left he screwed us over as is well documented. We got nothing in return and had no time to go after FA's that we wanted. No one gave our team a ****ing chance that year. But because of Dennis' ability to see the potential in DM, and make the move to get him, he literally changed the future of our team forever.

No, we didn't have a break out year. But goddammit, it's coming!

Internal improvement won’t be enough to make the jump from good to great. The Jazz need a legit second scoring option that can create their own shot. Mitchell can’t do it all when the offense goes stagnant. The proof is this years playoffs.

2018-19 Season -

Pros:
- We won 2 more regular season games than the prior season
- Royce has emerged as a quality player
- We found Niang who looks like a solid bench guy
- Outside of Exum, we stayed healthy for the most part

Cons:
- We had the same seed (an away seed) as the year before
- We didn't make the 2nd round like we did the year before
- We lost to Houston exactly the same as the year before
- Exum got re-signed to a contract he didn't justify
- We didn't add a free agent or draft pick who boosted the roster
- We still didn't have an All Star

We didn't reach the team's and fan's expectations that they would improve so nobody should be able to say this season was a success. Respectable? Sure.

I'm not saying to crucify DL but he could have pulled the trigger on something to get us over the hump.

Over what hump?
We weren't going to win the championship this year if we trade favors, Rubio, Exum, and a pick for conley.
