It’s pretty funny to see the “intellectual Giant” of the right, who supposedly only cares about facts not emotions, get so triggered once he finally faces pushback in an interview.

His meltdown begins at 10:30 as the BBC interviewer begins to nail him down with hard questions. I really wish American journalists called out political figures in this manner. Here you have Shapiro selling a book about the degradation of public discourse for a quick buck while refusing to admit his contribution to that degradation. Pretty awesome, especially since a few on this board really seem to look up to Shapiro as some modern-day William Buckley instead of the Breitbart grifter is really is.
 
Shapiro's trying to re-invent himself as a sort of right-leaning Sam Harris and he's hitting his head on the ceiling. He doesn't have anywhere near the intellectual chops. And after 8 years of fanning the flames of identity politics during the Obama Administration I find it laughable that he's now written a book with chapters entitled "Coming Together" and "How to Build".

Having said that, I watch his Sunday Special on YouTube now and again and he's capable of having civil, intelligent conversations with people that don't subscribe to every tenant of right wing echo chamber. The most endearing thing I can say about him is he's the best of the worst.

Ben Shapiro is a great man, and the D-bag interviewing was just another stupid lefty doing attack journalism. Gas light you. Change the subject, dodge questions, twist your answers.. Play dumb. Move the target. Its just plain childish.

I love how righties try to take ownership or words that they barely understand. Like if you start using "gaslighting" (one word, bro. but I know you'll get tons of practice and will eventually use it correctly) then it can no longer be used against your side.

Shapiro is the man.

He's said some dumb things in the past. He's owned them and moved on.



Not a lot of people would admit this. We all have knee jerk reactions from time to time. Live and learn.

I don’t think Shapiro handles himself well here. I do think he uses some inflammatory things and I also think there are times he has some decent points about liberals and the left. I’m very much in the middle, and if you’re polarized to one side your a part of the problem, including Shapiro, but the left is in no way innocent in this and he has some valid points about the left at times. That’s as far as I’ll go, instead of fighting about who’s right and who’s wrong let’s just admit the left and right are both terrible okay. Bye.

“Just pre-taped an interview with BBC’s @afneil. As I’m not familiar with him or his work, I misinterpreted his antagonism as political Leftism (he termed the pro-life position in America “barbaric”) – and that was apparently inaccurate. For that, I apologize.”

Dude, even Fox News has this correct.

What you need to realize is that your credibility in Jazzfanz is totally shot and yet you continue to spew ignorance.
