What's new

Game Of Thrones

Yeah, you can. Ultimately they were a hollow enemy with no emotion, nothing vested. Dany vs Cersei vs etc, we've all been following these characters for years and have our personal favorites. It just isn't being handled well.

Well, sure you CAN. It's just bad writing.

And Cersi's character was just killed off in the dumbest way possible. Plus the way she acted as her kingdom went up in flames was completely out of character. She would have had some alternative plan some kind of twist. But....nope.

Complete, self indulgent trash.

In the leaked script for Season 8, Arya was supposed to kill Qyburn, assume his appearance and take out Cersei. So much for that leaked script...
Since it was leaked, they’ve decided to skip to plan B of which the project name is probably Schindler’s List. Arya was to wear a red coat but then they thought she would already be covered with dust so what the ****.

I think there is an argument to be made for the attack by Daenerys. Had she not unleashed mass destruction Jon might have been considered a near equal in the battle. And with the fact that Danny has no real base of support in Westeros and Jon has a legit claim to the ultimate prize she's seeking even if she did take the throne her hold on it would be tenuous. She'd probably end up having to lay the same kind of smack down sooner or later somewhere else, and probably face resistance ala Sons of the Harpy that would challenge her rule through terrorism and sabotage.

At this point no one doubts the power of her Dragon or her willingness to use it. Jon doesn't have a dragon. Jon was NOT her equal in the sack of King's Landing. If anyone wants to challenge Danny they better be ready. She smoked the Tarley's for not bending the knee, she smoked Varys for betraying her, she smoked King's Landing because the forces there killed one of her children and executed her personal assistant. She has made clear what happens when you **** with her... She'll rip you out root and stem.

There is literally no chance that the twists these characters take like Cercei crying like a lil bitch can be because of bad writing. This **** is intentional. They are trying to murder the legacy of this show.

Oh wait **** now I understand!

This is GRRM’s last move to kill the one we love. Kill the entire ****ing show. This is ****ing genius!!!!

Danerys needs that book about winning friends and influencing people.
I think she read this one instead.

My biggest disappointment with this season is:

The Night King had no motive. I had hopped there was a purpose he was trying to fulfill. That we'd learn more about his origins and about the CotF.

There was very little political intrigue. The closest we came was Tyrion and Varys chatting about who the better ruler would be and Tyrion freeing his captured brother to gain a less violent surrender of King's Landing. I guess you could add Sansa spilling the beans (breaking an oath) to Tyrion.

Plenty of action. Lot's of battle. In fact more than 1/3rd of this final season has been devoted to battle sequences. Meh.

And what are we left with for the finale. Are there really any intriguing questions left to answer? I mean there are a few, but are they really intriguing? Will Jon turn on Danny? Will Arya kill Danny? Will it end with Sansa chillin' at Winterfell or is she about to warp over to King's Landing for the finale?

Things that would no longer really fit into the story as far as I can tell. The Lord of Light, there's no time and has been no lead up this season to that conclusion. Sweetrobin, some thought he'd have some kind of role this season, but he's apparently up dropping puppies out of the moon door or whatever. The Reed family. Eddard's closest friend and life saver sent his two kids to escort Bran and I guess that's all there is to that. The Iron Bank has apparently decided to forgive all the debt accrued in Westeros?

Will this final episode be a call to appear and bend the knee to Danny? Will there be a bit of a time jump from the sack of King's Landing? Will there be a time jump mid-episode? If the episode takes place entirely in the days following the sack there is very little room for anything super interesting happening. Only enough time for Jon to turn on Danny and Arya to wear somebody's face and kill her.

I think she read this one instead.

I get the reference. However, I actually think Machiavelli would have disapproved of burning the entire city. The premise behind the book is that leaders should do what is necessary to provide stability and governance. Yes the ruler had to be ruthless when required, but with the aim to benefit the ruled.

Jon is gonna snap and kill his Aunty lover
I hate how they never developed Jon and Dani's relationship. Jon normally does pretty much everything right and him following some stupid decisions of Dani would be justifiable and feasible if they developed him being ***** who'd for her. Their relationship is forced and awkward like people who have gone on two dates and say I love you.

I’ll bet you half your stable of hookers

At lunch time today you could have had her, not sure what you would have offered me to have her back by dinner time but it would have made the Donovan Mitchell for Trey Lyles deal look the the work of a rank amateur.
