What's new

Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

There is going to be a bunch of bigs available in the Jazz's draft range: Goga Bitadze, Bruno Fernando, Mfiondu Kabengele, Luka Samanic, Daniel Gafford, Naz Reid, Neemias Queta.

Not sure we're in the market, but that appears to be one of the strengths of the draft in our range. These guys are quality prospects.

There are also some viable big wings in our range: KZ Okpala, Keldon Johnson, Jordan Nwora, Dylan Windler, Talen Horton-Tucker, Louis King, Darius Bazley...

There's enough talent for the Jazz to stay in this draft unless a really significant trade opportunity comes up (e.g., Mike Conley).

Okpala i think is gonna end up out of range. Probably Keldon Johnson too.

Horton Tucker with a massive spread between height and wingspan -- he's gonna play big in the NBA Bonzi Wells style.

Utah should look at Tyler Herro if he falls too. they need more firepower.

There's a strong rumor that OKC has promised Matisse Thybulle at #21. He pulled out of the Combine on the 2nd day.

Suns have apparently promised Darius Garland at #6, though he's also in play for the Lakers at #4.

I like Herro but he’s pretty much only a pure 2. And with Donovan and Allen there...I don’t know.

Samanic is the guy on that list i think could really payoff big down the line..

BRuno Fernando is the most surefire guy on that list IMO, and he'd render Tony Bradley expendable and hold down the backup C spot for a long time here, i think. He had very nice combinemeasurements, might not be in range.

dont forget Charles Bassey either. He's a beast.

I believe it. OKC is a team always there's leaked promise rumors about, often times they are legit.

I think the Jazz should put Bradley out on the trade market. He's okay, but he's not going to be a real difference maker.

The 'right' guy for the Jazz to draft at #23 is Jordan Nwora, imo. He's the right mix of talent, fit for team need, and risk/reward. If someone else slips in the draft or we can trade up, then great, but Nwora at #23 should be about the median outcome. If we can get another pick at the end of the first round or early second to swing for upside on a guy like Bazley, we should do that too. The higher upside plays would be Horton-Tucker or Bazely since they can create for themselves in isolation (and they're super young).

Enough of these middling Tony Bradely and Grayson Allen-type picks. We can always get free agents to be 7-10 guys in our rotation.

This is what Bazley looks like running in circles, not that it's helpful. He's 6'9", 208 lbs, 7' wingspan, with a quick first step.
