I think even the 2nd tier free agents, if correctly chose, would get us to the conference finals.

Most likely, we keep Favors and sign some dudes like Beverley or Ariza.

Second most likely, we trade for Dragic in a 3-team deal with Miami shedding salary and a lot of moving pieces.

Third most likely (maybe tied for 2nd), trade for Conley

Fourth most likely, trade for D'Angelo or Dinwiddie if Brooklyn can sign multiple max guys.

Fifth most likely, Tobias Harris

Sixth most likely, Kemba Walker. Kemba probably says thanks but no thanks soon after FA begins.

If this is the case the front office needs to think about resigning tbh. They've done some great things but if you can't get the team to the next level then it's probably time to step aside. What's the point of remaining on a treadmill?
Resigning demand depends if owners are looking for a profitable team that makes playoffs, or paying big to try and win a championship, I think it’s the former.

What if there is literally nothing that can be done to get a top free agent to come? Has it ever happened to the jazz before? Ever?

Pretty sure if we trade for a top player they don't have a choice. So if we can't sign someone, then it's time to be damn aggressive until we find one in trade.

Updated odds on where NBA players will start the 2019-20 season per @betonline_ag: Tobias Harris PHI - 2/3 BKN - 3/1 DAL - 6/1 LAL - 6/1 SAC - 8/1 UTA - 10/1 IND - 12/1 MEM - 14/1 ATL - 16/1

Jazz are not even listed in the odds for Kemba, DeAngelo, Middleton, Thompson or Butler.

Yesterday George Hill said he wants to go back to Milwaukee and that it has never been about the money for him.

Jazzfanz is probably in for a painful summer.

We can unload some of our dead weight if possible, but Rubio is NOT dead weight and should be retained! Bringing in another PG who will probably specialize in throwing the ball into the stands and missing shots that should have been taken by Rudy, Favors or even Donovan would be a big mistake and cost us 10 games! A little tweaking, improved player development, along with better coaching, would put us at 60 wins!
Rubio is not dead weight, He's a freaking anchor. He should be locked out and not even considered.

This is why I'm always pushing trades. Any chance we get to acquire an asset, we should be doing it. All the expirings we have let go to waste (Thabo, Udoh and Jerekbo in 2018, Thabo and Udoh in 2019, etc.) could have been turned into minor assets.

If we miss out on big free agents this summer, we should be looking to get any asset we can. We should be prioritizing young players and draft picks.

Not sure, but we aren't that far right now. Next year, GSW will be weaker and Houston's Paul will be a year older. Who else is definitely better than us?

So with that being the fact of the matter, wholesale roster changes and breaking up our core starting 5 is just a plain bad idea! We won 50 games last year and missed home court advantage by 1 game despite a absolutely turrible start to the season. Won't be the case this year! Is the schedule for next year out yet? While other teams will be struggling to stay under the cap and losing top notch players, we can stay intact, add a couple of shooters and push for 60 wins!

I'm reporting you to the board authorities for racial hatred and prejudice, since your dislike of Rubio goes beyond his missing an occasional 3 pointer or open shot! It's obvious to even the most casual observer that your contention goes to the extreme wanting to replace Rubio with a high priced, overrated, turnover prone PG because you dislike any who speak "abla" and prefer Spanich rice to white rice!

I dislike players who make my team worse. Since opponents don't even need to guard him he makes the Jazz worse. I am fine with him back on the team if it's a minimum contract to back up 2 other PG's. That's the only role he's suited for in today's NBA. You realize that Rubio is one of the turnover prone, over priced, and overrated. You basically defended Rubio by bashing on Rubio. Rubio's replacement should be Donovan.

This post from the boards biggest racist is hilarious. And Rice is disgusting in any form.

Can somebody please just put this all in the Summer 2019 Roster Thread already?
Only if you can merge in the poll. I wanted to see the votes. *******.

I think Utah has a good chance at signing anyone who isn't matched. If they get thrown a walk, so be it. Take the free base and hope the next slugger connects.
