Racist warriors fans

If one is concerned over safety, there’s a solution for it already; don’t buy court side seats. Perhaps the nba should get rid of them?

The reason why this isn’t talked about in the same way as the Jazz incident is:

1. This was a quick altercation between a player and fan triggered not by race but by his diving into the crowd over a loose ball. Different from the Utah incident, which resembled a slow burning candle where fans wouldn’t stop harassing players and it was reasonably proven to have been racially motivated.
2. Golden State’s crowd doesn’t have a reputation and history for saying racist things. Ours does. Getting overly defensive about it suggests guilt or admission of having observed overt racism at games (imo). Furthermore, our fans do need to tone it down. How many more years are we going to boo former players for touching the ball? Must we boo every call that goes against us despite being the correct calls? I’m all about creating a fun atmosphere but our crowd does embarrass itself by antagonizing visiting teams with our napoleonic complex.

Trying to conflate these two incidents and insinuating there’s a double standard is really grasping at straws here. There are plenty of incidents of hypocrisy to point at, but this case isn’t one of them.

Golden state has now suspended the fan for one year, slapped him with a $500,000 dollar fine, and is apologizing publicly. Maybe we should ask our fan if he’d rather be slapped with a $500,000 dollar fine instead?
I think the fan in GS was part owner of the warriors which would mean he is rich as **** which explains the 500,000

Mark Stevens isn’t a bad guy, just made a stupid mistake. He apologized publicly and privately for his actions. Accepted his penalty without complaint. No racist undertones for any of this.

Shane Kiesel was an ***. He acted like an *** and then failed to own up to it. I’m still not sure that it was racist, but it was certainly offensive and over the line. Maybe it was racist. I thought it seemed more homophobic tbh. I still think part of the severity of the situation was due to Westbrook’s visceral reaction. With that said, I still think the lifetime ban was justified.

My only question is why can Drake pull similar ******** without any penalty? His antics certainly cross lines as well. I think it’s hilarious for any Raptors player or fan to call foul when they won’t say **** about Drake.

From his point of takeoff to where his shoulder tries to go through that woman's face is about 10 feet:

I agree that was more reckless than you will usually ever see. But he still had a shot at saving the ball and he is playing in a finals game so I'm fine with what he did.
Also don't think the little shove that did absolutely no harm (and wasn't intended to do harm imo) was a big deal.

I’d love for the Raptors to figuratively smack Drake. He’s way out of line. Again, the game isn’t about him. Yet he makes every home raptors game about himself. He acts like a complete fool out there touching players and coaches. I thought he should’ve been suspended after he touched the coach a few games ago.

As I’ve stated throughout this thread, the NBA needs to seriously crack down on bad fan behavior. It’s just out of control. A ticket doesn’t license you to touch players, coaches, and say whatever **** you want. I honestly think it’s a detriment to the league.

Yeah, I think once he decided to go for that ball, in that instant, which was a reckless decision, he went all in because he's a competitor. It wasn't malicious but it was a little disrespectful to give the woman in the yellow the stone-cold shoulder.

Drake is a mega-star. The NBA loves that he's into it. But yeah, he's definitely Shaqtin' a fool.

How do you propose that woman in the lowry video goes about not touching him

That's a good point, and I think I should've been more clear in that. The fans that were helping him up, making sure he was ok...I don't have an issue with that. It has to do with intent. Don't make some weak move like that at the players. If a player runs into me and my hand is helping him up or giving a pat on the back, I'm not gonna be worried about the NBA getting pissed about it. But if I'm not even touched by the player and go out of my way to make contact like that....I should be expecting a ban from the NBA.

I will admit I'm curious as to what the guy said to Lowry, that could be the real damning evidence for this dude.

Apparently the NBA wants to set the standard that assaulting a player is a lesser offense than yelling at one. What a joke. If he didn't have a billion+ dollars and was a part owner in the franchise he would definitely have a lifetime ban, instead he gets off with a slap on the wrist.

If Lowry pushes him back he would be suspended for multiple games.

I have no problem with Lowry going for the ball, don't like it don't sit court side.

Imagine being a black person who has family in prison for weed and you see that Max Hall gets caught with cocaine and doesn’t serve any prison time and white hippy in Colorado is glorified for selling weed in a strip mall.

Welcome to the Corporation of America.

Absolutely that warriors fan is guilty of shoving Lowry. If it were up to me he’d be banned for life. Send a message to fans to stop ****ing with the players. Frankly, I’m tired of it. Don’t touch the players. You’re not that important. The game isn't about the fans. No one pays to see you. Let the players play the game. That’s what the focus should be. Wwwaaaayyyyyy too much tolerance is given to fans who act like complete assholes.

Just because you buy a ticket doesn’t entitle you to act like an animal. Same thing applies to assholes who take off their shoes on planes or those who hang their dirty feet over the row of seats in front of them during movies. Just because you have a ticket doesn’t entitle you to act like a disgusting *******. Imo, people who engage in such inappropriate and disrespectful activity, should all have their limbs chopped off.

Upset that the woman (maybe his wife) was crashed into by a player? Sit Up, away from the players. Never seen a player go up 7 rows to save a loose ball. Or better yet, sit up in the nosebleeds. But even that opens a can of worms with fans treating the arena and the fans around them as their own personal bar.

Damn. Your world view sucks ***. I'm glad I'm not a part of it.

just saw the racist warriors fan push Lowry during last night’s game. Where is the outrage from the public about this clearly bigoted individual representing the entire Bay Area’s backwards views on race?
The double standard amongst nba fans is ****ing absurd. He cant be racist cos hes from california...only people living in utah can be racist
