Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

Bruno Fernando would be a great pick I've got him pegged right around 20. Actually been posting about him here since he was a 3-star recruit and was committed to SMU, before Duke got involved and things blew up for him.

Would be a strong signal about what they think of Tony Bradley tho...

Fernando would be outsdtanding value tho. He can step in day 1 at backup C i think.

This kid has improved tremendously in the past bunch of years. pleasure tracking his story, he's shown the type of progression you'd hope for. Added a ton of strength before he ever got to the league, years back he didnt look anywhere close to what he does now.

So there are 17 guys invited to the green room; Claxton isnt one of them, but he is shutting down nonlottery workouts?

Sent from my VS995 using JazzFanz mobile app

He must have some solid info that a team or teams in the late teens or early 20's REALLY like him. Causing him to only workout for lottery teams

Not even sure we want to develop two players right now. I’d prefer to go after someone we love. Package 23, 53 and a future 2nd or two to try to move up to 18-19. Maybe Bradley sweetens the deal for someone.

My vote is to just stay at 23. Or trade out. It's not worth it to trade up this year imo. This class sucks.

Meant to say Claxton, not Clayton. Spellcheck gone wild.

Remember that Boston is a lottery team so not out of the question that he would settle for one of those picks on a good team.

I never really understood the Bradley pick. I mean, yeah he's still young and the jury is still out on him and all. My guess is the Jazz thought they could get Kuzma at 28 but the Fakers got him instead at 27.

Apparently, the Jazz really wanted Bradley and were reportedly willing to take him at 24. The idea is that when other teams zig, you zag, and with teams going smaller in the front court, a guy like Bradley can dominate the offensive glass, make put-backs and force the other team to adjust. It's not a bad strategy. You can see how effective Kanter was on offense just picking up the trash around the hoop. Bradley is pretty much the same concept. He's a big body with a 9'4+" standing reach and has nice touch around the rim.

THT sounds pretty mature for such a young kid. Not what I expected, but I like it.

I actually think he has some fringe All Star potential, but a bunch of things would have to go right for him, including playing on a team that lets him play with the ball in his hands.

THT is a trash athlete, not sure why people like him.

He needs to lose 10+ lbs, and he'll be more athletic. He's long, shifty and skilled. I wish he were an inch or two taller, but he's a triple-threat guy with the ball in his hands at the top of the circle. He needs to play more as a wing, since I don't see him chasing quick guards around. That's the issue. The whole offense would have to be structured to take advantage of his skillset, almost like you're pretending he's Paul Pierce. But the skill level is there.

No PJ in first round?
Interesting.
The bigs are the issue with that big board. jax hayes at 29 is even more preposterous than no pj, who;s obviouslyh going top-25

bradley pick was simple value. young, decent balance, offensive rebounds, he's pretty much like Kanter, solid drop step for a kid that age too

See Claxton is legit.

How many ppl were actually checking georgia games for Claxton?? I did and he seemed to me liek a prime under-the-radar candidate

Oooffff...

Its very bad news for teams in the west that Darius Garland is seemingly gonna drop in Pheonix's lap at #6...

That is an instant A or higher grade for them in this draft and they pick 32nd.

Iawtp. I think Garland will end up a top three player from this draft. Maybe easily.

I just posted in the off-season thread, but in his Q&A Tony Jones said the Jazz like Edwards, Okpala, and Paschall. Someone asked if there’s been a Donovan Mitchell level reaction from a workout and he said no, but singled out Edwards and Okpala.

Not for the Jazz, but am I the only person in the world who still kind of likes Happ?

yes. he'll turn 24 in what would be a rookie season, if he has a rookie season that is...

he is basically like an extremely ****** version of mason plumlee

he shot 46% from the FT stripe as a senior..

Okpala is far better than ppl seem to think here.. that board posted by stitches anyways..

I honestly dont know how ppl watch utahs stale old offense and then not love a guy who's 610 and can shoot off the dribble like kezie, im sure the jazz fo has long reached that point, if they havent i think they'd be incompetent quite frankly..
