Woj bomb... AD to Lakers

Yeah I know this is the Jazz forum. So, how does this affect the Jazz?
The lakers have 5 players under contract and 30M to spend. So, it's going to be Lebron, AD, Kuzma, and a couple of mid-level players?

Idk how the Lakers are much better than the Blazers, Nuggets, or Rockets right now

According to Woj, the AD deal will be finalized on July 6th, NOT on July 30th. This means the Lakers will only have about 23M in capspace to deal with in free agency, rather than the 32M they could have if the deal is finalized at the end of July.

Yep, they're looking at guys like Rodney Hood and Max Kleber, rather than Kemba Walker.

I dont see the Lakers in the finals with their current roster and a couple of Rodney Hoods.

I'd expect Lebron and AD to both miss 15 - 20 games for injuries and load management. I don't think they'd be the #1 or #2 seed. They might be more like a 50-win team.

LeBron is still the best player in the NBA. AD is top 5 and the best big in the NBA. If you put solid role players and around them they can beat anyone next year. They will also get good value in players since vets will play for less if they think they can get a championship.

Giannis and Durrant have passes LBJ. Lebron is still a top 5 talent in the game, but father time is undefeated. He's not getting any better

Will it end like it did with Kyrie? LeBron wears people out faster than he builds them up.

Bosh, Ray Allen and Wade would have played with LeBron as long as they could have. Hell, Wade even went to Cleveland. Love loves LeBron and so do Tristan, Dellie and all those Cleveland guys.

The only guy who had an issue with LeBron was Kyrie who has since apologized. AND, he has been shown to be his own sort of cancer in the Boston lockerroom this last year.

The LeBron as a bad teammate is overblown and unfounded. The guy just wants to win.

Giannis is getting close but not there yet. LeBron coasting when the season doesn't matter isn't the same as playoffs LeBron either.

Durant is definitely not ahead of him with his injury. He won't even play next year.

I take LeBron over Lillard, Harden or anybody Denver has.
I take AD over McCollum, Paul, or anybody Denver has.
Kuzma is as valuable as any 3rd option on any of those teams.

If the Lakers can be very smart with their use of $27 million, they should be stacked. Like if they got Redick, Danny Green, and a couple solid PG options, they are gonna be tough. If they add a bunch of Lance, Rondo and McGee type players, they will make their life that much more difficult.

I thought Kuzma was your guy? Now you have no faith he can get better?

This is the definitive proof that your entire Jazzfanz existence is to be the contrarian. You cant even back your guy if it means agreeing with someone else.
I liked Kuzma pre-draft because I thought he was a versatile smart player.

He's turned into a chucker who plays no defense. He got infected with the disease of "Mamba Mentality".

Your arguement is, "put lebron and AD against the best players on the opposing team and the lakers win". No sock, really??

The problem is depth, the lakers wont have any. EVEN if they get a couple of rodney hood types, they still dont compete with depth. You cant play AD and an aging LBJ 48 minutes.

Did Kawaii Leonard die yesterday? Why didn't I hear about this? Freaking Tragic!

Are you expecting them not to get anybody with $27 million in cap room PLUS exceptions PLUS older players who just want to try to win a title? They are gonna have a ton of Thabo type guys wanting to fill out their bench after they spend their $27 million. While not a stud, experienced super cheap guys like that help the cause.
