Jazz front runner for Conley

Just listened to this interview. Here's what Tony said:

- Jazz are in fairly serious talks with Memphis. He anticipates that if a deal were to get done, that it will happen in the next 3 days.
- He expects that #23, future assets, and Favors contract would have to be included as part of the deal
- Mentions Indiana is also in discussions for Conley

Let's go Indy. Let's go Indy. Let's go Indy.

If Indiana gets Conley, we have a very good chance of getting Russell.

If you keep Favors, you have to match a ton of salary. Korver counts for his guaranteed amount of $3.75 million, Exum counts for $9.6 and Bradley some pittance. I don’t think it matches.

I guess you could send Jae as well but there goes your stretch 4 which is the exact wrong direction.
It 100% matches. If they Jazz renounce rights to everyone but Favors that leaves $17 million in cap space.
If you throw in Exum $9.1mm + Korver $3.4mm + Bradley $2.0mm + the 2019 1st round pick the trade works.

So he’s a liar. Lol, ok. Basically we don’t know what happened but your mind is made up on him. Has been for weeks.

The agent spoke on behalf of Conley. I never said Conley said it. So no, I'm not calling him a liar.

But the agent did say Conley didn't want Utah. Reporters don't just throw that stuff out there for ***** and giggles.

Huh, on Twitter this morning is was saying Favors was not on the table.

Breaking News @utahjazz and @memgrizz finishing up a deal that will send Mike Conley and Ivan Rabb to the Jazz for Dante Exum, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, Tony Bradley, Grayson Allen, and 2019 first rd pick.

I have no idea the credibility he has, but it makes sense.

? If true sad to see Jae go. DL might have another stretch 4 in mind . We need another shooter too.

1. Are you sure about that?
2. Are you familiar with the game of telephone?

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst and The New York Times' Marc Stein, Conley has indicated he does not want to get traded to the Jazz.

It's not the difference maker, but I do think the agent said something to the reporters. Conley refuted it, but either he is fine with Utah and his agent is an idiot or he didn't want Utah and repaired that image later.

Either way, two respected reporters aren't going to quote a player and his staff out of thin air. It was way too specific to just be made up. The fact that Conley got in front of a camera pretty soon after to address it makes me think he had to. Most bogus rumors are just shrugged off. Conley was advised to get in front of it.

It really doesn't matter either way. If he gets traded here, he will play here. I'm not worried about it.

Thanks for the breakdown of all his skills he provides. I don’t think an aging 32 year old fringe all star making 30+ million for the next 2 years is a no brainer win like everyone else seems to think.

Oh and no I don’t think it’s light years ahead of what Rubio was providing. Rubio could probably qualify as a fringe all star too on some teams.

Lol the last paragraph prohibits you from having a valid opinion on this matter.

And Conley’s game has been dissected ad nauseum. Read up yourself

Windhorse has never been reliable. He's one step above screamin' A and Chris Boussard.

Conley is more certain.

Dlo and Tobias are wishful thinking.

I think the jazz in two years are wondering wth they will do for a point guard because the latest rental has ran its course, or in one year they are wondering wth they should do with Conley and his unreadable contract because DM is the answer at PG.

Donovan isn’t the answer at PG. the team’s offensive rating was considerably worse with him as PG
