Jazz front runner for Conley

Damn that's a lot.

The tweet I saw says it allows Utah to keep Favors, get Conley and the full MLE. Then it mentions 13.8 m and 4 mill for two additional players.

Starting 5 of:

Conley
Mitchell
Ingles
Favors
Gobert

Just listened to this interview. Here's what Tony said:

- Jazz are in fairly serious talks with Memphis. He anticipates that if a deal were to get done, that it will happen in the next 3 days.
- He expects that #23, future assets, and Favors contract would have to be included as part of the deal
- Mentions Indiana is also in discussions for Conley

Damn, the Pacers will probably end up with him. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

This feels very similar to the Ricky Rubio trade with Minnesota two years ago. The Jazz traded their OKC 1st-rd pick (which they got in the Enes Kanter trade) just a few days before the draft, and that was it. We took Rubio into space, and Minnesota made a big offer to Jeff Teague. The Jazz are trying to get Conley without giving up much--probably because Conley is 32 and he costs a boatload.

He turns 32 in October. But I hear ya.

Like @LoPo said earlier, that means we've got a lot less competition for D-Lo at that point, and probably still get to keep Favors.

I bet the Jazz are offering something like Favors + 23 for Conley. That seems like a DL-esque move to me, not this garbage where we trade half our bench and a first rounder for Conley

I think the jazz in two years are wondering wth they will do for a point guard because the latest rental has ran its course, or in one year they are wondering wth they should do with Conley and his unreadable contract because DM is the answer at PG.

That's a stretch and a commitment to mediocrity

Tony Jones was on the radio saying that the Jazz are trying to move the 23rd pick, and that it's being discussed with Memphis.

LOL please even i cant be made fool so bad. You belive this tweeter?

Honestly, I've seen multiple tweets with the same text from multiple people. They sure aren't woj or even Tony Jones, but I do find it interesting that it's come from multiple sources. I even stated that I had no idea the credibility, so no I'm not a fool. I'm a fan that saw an interesting tweet on a current topic. Oh and I work so I don't have time to check salaries too.

Can't compare the two man. Rubio sucks Conley is a game changer

I agree, Conley could put us into the WCF. It's not just him either, Donovan could have a breakout year, Rudy will be even better, Ingles should be back after a trying year, and the Trans DF Express should be on schedule.

DL is forcing himself upon some illusional opportunity that isn't even there. Why not signing some functional role players and accumulate trade assets for the right moment? Getting Conley's contract will basically keep us out of conversation completely when there is another sort of Prozingis trade coming up in the next 2 years. Mitchell and Rudy are 22 and 26 years old. Not 32 or 36...

Why, we can still make trades if we have Conley just the same as if we didnt have him. That is one reason why I think keeping Favors with Conley makes sense. Favors is good and can help us win but his contract is perfect for a trade for another star player.

Although we are even better off if we can keep Favors and sign Russell. Then we have a young upside player and keep our picks/young players like Exum.

I am hoping Indiana outbids us for Conley.

We will trade for Avery Bradley and then use Bradley to get Bradley's good buddy Tobias Harris.

This is Conley's value at his highest. His value will only decline after this summer. Whoever gets him in this trade will surely be keeping him till his contract expires. By getting his overpriced 30mil contract, who else do you think we can get in free agency that is worth any trade values? We won't trade Rudy, Ingles or Mitchell. We can't really trade Conley once we get him. Who else on this current roster do you think we can realistically put on the table to attract any other teams during a trade? Maybe Royce?

Yahoo accidentally posted a premade article about Conley getting traded to the Jazzsuns

-Avery Bradley sucks

-if the jazz make this trade, they already know via back channels they don’t have a shot at a key FA like Harris or Russell
