Jazz front runner for Conley

I am all for trading Exum if he gets us a better player in return. Conley is an upgrade. That doesnt mean he sucks or we should dump him for nothing.

But to each their own with their opinions. Playing college ball gives and playing around Naz in no way makes you better than anyone else on this board at assessing talent. Nor does it make your opinion more valid.

You still can't come off the fact that I made a simple assessment, and chose to shot down my validity based on what I stated. I didn't state that for more leverage. Just don't read it the wrong way. I wasn't bragging just stating the facts.

Just because I have played the game at a more competitive level then you may have doesn't mean I know it all, but I know more than you from that angle because I did it and you and others haven't. It's not the end all but counts for something.

Don't take things so seriously
Exum does suck, read how many bust articles he is featured on.

You are a huge Dante supporter, we will never get equal value for him because our head office thinks he is great the rest of the league thinks he sucks. As do I. We agree to disagree. And that's that

Based on the Deseret News story today, this all might be totally bogus based on a prewritten story that got placed on the internet by mistake. Also the fact the Pacers are interested in Bricky might mean they are out of the Conley and DLo sweepstakes.

I can come off of that fact. I am aware you and I have different opinions. I am also aware they are just that, opinions. I disagree with yours and have you reasons. You just said he sucks and gets pulled off the court. Cool, I guess. To each their own.

You then tried to use your playing college to brag and say why your opinion was better. You also threw out that I only played 2k to try and make fun of my opinion.

Your also still assuming you know the level I've played at and anything else, but again those don't really matter.

Trading 2 firsts for Conley would be the worst trade the Jazz have made in 10+ years. 32 year old non allstar on one of the largest contracts in the entire NBA. Also he could opt out after 1 year. Hard pass.

All this non-All Star rubbish is just that. Rudy hasn't made the All-Star team either. Conley has been underrated ever since he came into the NBA. He is definitely one of the top PGs in the league. Maybe top 5. Age is more of a consideration, but he has gotten better with age. Stock was 41 when he retired and still playing at a high level, and they are similar players in their style of play. I'm not sure though about injury concerns.

The more I think about it, the less willing I am to give up two first rounders for what could (likely won’t be, but could be) a one year rental of a very good but aging PG on a mammoth contract. There’d have to be some pretty heavy protections on the second first for it to be worth it.

I understand why the Conley market seems to be pretty tepid.

I hope there’s a plan B to use the pick to nab a player like Saric or Bjelly and move down into the early/mid second round.

The more I think about it the more I think he's the best fit of any player available that might come to us. We need someone who can jibe with Donovan and he'd be amazing. I think if Conley comes here we will be successful and he'll be back for his second year.

You are reading too much into it. I honestly wasn't bragging that I played college ball for that sake but stating I have played against guards who look lost and they usually suck - implying Dante sucked.

I said 2k because you probably have a better outcome finishing with Exum in that game then he does in real life.

I can debate you all day about this and most on here would back me that Exum sucks. Read the posts. But that doesn't change the fact that you are entitled to your opinion even though I think it's wrong

I love it. Crowder turned into ChuckForce 5 last year, Korver is basically done, first this year in a somewhat weak draft and a first next year when we'll have another late pick... Sounds like a steal to me.

Favors and Exum are still around as trade bait as well.

He's so amazing that he led the Grizzlies to the #2 pick last year.

That future first better has a load of protections to it cuz if Conley gets hurt, we are well on our way to the lottery.

Wow, not sure how I feel about this. I think the Jazz are still a couple of years from really competing for the title, this trade doesn't help us compete in 2 years.
