Conley Officially a Jazzman

Lets talk about some basketball rather than about the contract/compensation/salary cap stuff:

I love Conley's fit with this team. He's a great player and almost a perfect fit for what Quin runs on offense.
That's some good **** right there

agreed, i'm just still dumbfounded that he got let go on a cheap rookie deal while showing alot of growth yet X still has some massive value for lindsey and zanik after all these years. should've completed the trade during the season.
Reportedly the Jazz had a similar deal (including two first round picks, not sure what players were involved) at the trade deadline and Memphis passed.

Again, the sooner you guys will start seeing obvious flaws in Rudy's game the better you will feel when he either leaves or will be traded one day. I love Rudy on defense. Love watching him block shots and alter them too. But I hate how inept he is on offense outside the paint or in the post. We are not in 90's anymore. We are not winning championship with Rudy until he is a threat outside of the paint.
You don't like his dunks?

yup, which means it makes even less sense now to offer them basically 3 first round picks (including allen from 2018). 2 firsts or 1 first + allen i could digest, but 2 firsts + allen? including a first that may be a good one in 2022 with highschoolers entering the draft for a player that could end up being a 1 yr rental.

How did similar move worked for Nets? It crippled them for years without having picks in the drafts and they did not win or even came close to winning a championship. Lebron is aging. They have literally three NBA players now on their roster. Good luck building a competing team with that.
Did the nets get AD?

We mostly sucked against Houstons defense. We could not generate any good looks for most of the games. There was a reason all our shooters shot poorly because most of the shots were either well contested and we were forced to shoot in last seconds of 24 sec shot clock. We played better with Favors at 5 then with Rudy, how difficult is to see that?
You are wrong though. The jazz literally had more wide open looks (no defender within 6 feet) than any team in the playoffs. They track that ****. It's fact.
We just couldn't make shots. It happens

I don't know man, I'm probably not as high on Allen as you are, he had one really good game, but as an older guy entering the league he doesn't have a ton of upside imo.

You've got to give up something to get a player like Conley, especially with other teams interested in him as well. Late first rounders are such a crap shoot, the risk involved is more than worth the potential Conley has to improve this team on both sides of the ball.

Can you post a link to that? I somehow doubt it is true as it looked like we could not generate any decent looks at all.
I've posted them before. I can try to post them again when I'm at a computer. It takes to long to pull them up on a phone.

If the Jazz release Favors they are significantly under the cap, aren't they?

If we keep Niang and Neto, we would still have around $15 million of cap room. We would gain about $1 million by waiving either of those guys.

He creates more space then anyone on offense. There is a reason he is at the top of most advanced stats even on offense. His pull is huge off the screen. Generally he demands the attention of 3 players.
