Conley Officially a Jazzman

But you're comparing a teams 1st option's numbers with a guy who as a role player for his team. Conley's numbers are inflated here.
We didn't pay all this for Conley to not play the same role he played for Memphis and shoot 16+ shots per game. Conley is a 1st and 2nd option, Rubio couldn't be even though we needed him to be.

It's kind of my point

We will be over the cap but under the hard cap. So we will still have the MLE and bi-annual to use. Unless we waive Favors then we have 3 million in space but the MLE drops from standard 9.2 mil to the room MLE that is 4.7 mil. The bi-annual is 3.6 mil. Plus we can sign players to vet min.

Oh, plus the trade exception from Burks.

We have plenty of room to make a few more moves.

I don't think those number are legit. In order for the trade to be complete Jazz have to have capspace. To have capspace they need to renounce the capholds. This site still have all the capholds and Conley on board. I don't think that's possible. And the trade was only agreed, but not yet completed.

I know that, but you listing those numbers was not a fair comparison as conditions were not equal.

Also I remember listening to Ingles on 97.5 towards the end of the season and he admitted that he struggled with teams taking him out of his element. Teams were able to do that because outside of Donovan we had no other legit threat. A healthy Conley makes teams unable to focus so much on Ingles.

Another interesting point they had about Ingles on a different day is that last year he was our 3rd best player. While hes a phenomenal piece he's not capable of being that guy. He should be the teams 4th or 5th best player to maximize his skill sets. Adding one more decent piece would be huge not only for the team but Ingles himself.

They got Garnett, Pierce and DWill. They had better roster than what Lakers currently have and still could not do **** and it made them stuck in mediocre state for years. Lol at Prokhorov at that time promising title within 5 years - they did not even come close.
Ya those 3 weren't as good as AD is when New Jersey got them.

Disagree. My numbers show that it's an obvious upgrade. Roles may be different but there is an obvious reason we have went the route we have. We need Conleys numbers not Rubio's numbers.

Dunks are just small part of basketball. As I said we do not have any top teams in NBA right now which would have 4 and 5 who can't shoot.
dunks aren't a small part when they are the most efficient shot in basketball and you are doing them a record number of times.

So what happens at the PF spot now? I'm excited as **** for Conley/Mitchell/Gobert core assuming the Jazz can find a stretch 4 of some sort on the market but I don't have my hopes up considering Conley is taking up the cap room if we keep Favors too.

Conley 32
Gobert 25
Favors 16.9
Ingles 12
Exum 9.6
Mitchell 3.6
Bradley 1.9

Those are our Guaranteed salaries. Unless we waived Favors but that is not what is indicated. That is ~101. Plus we will keep Niang and Royce. That is where the 106 comes from.

So I guess I was wrong we will be under the salary cap so we will get the room MLE once we spend up to the 109 which is 3 million away. the Room MLE gives us 4.76, and then we have the BAE which is 3.6. I didnt realize they had Favors included.

As far as all the cap holds we will have to waive all of those to clear for Conley. Rubio, Sef, Udoh, Cav, Naz, and McCree are all gone. We will probably bring back Neto which puts as at 108 million. Then we have to get 1 min salary then we can use the Room MLE and BAE.

Donovan Mitchell has never played with a PG as good as Conley.

Conley has never played with an off-ball guard as good as Mitchell.

Those two will help each other a lot. Conley has never played with another guard who can create like Mitchell can. Takes some of the pressure off Conley as he gets older. This is a really, really good fit on court and off court.
Didn't you love when we traded for Rubio? Just saying
