I'm not sure if you feel the same way, but I just want to say this: I can't remember the last time I've been this invested in the Jazz offseason. 2016-2017 was fine (adding Boris, Joe, Hill) but this is different. Last year felt almost like a wasted season (just like the season when getting a healthy Burks was our 'free agent' acquisition...).

It begins with where we were (top 5 team in the West) and then trading for our third piece and one of my favorite players (Conley). We now have a real possibility of making the WCF and perhaps the Finals.

Not having a 1st rounder was a bummer but I'm actually quite excited to see our 2nd rounders play. I'm really looking forward to Summer League.

And then free agency/trade season. I believe there is one more big move coming for a forward (thus keeping Favors/Exum contracts).

There is real expectation of what this team can accomplish now. Can't wait for the season to begin. Anyway, just wanted to share that. And now, onto discussing more Lopo trade ideas :D...

It's nice when the front office actually does something and seems proactive even after the staple one move. This includes not selling your 2nd rounders for Miller Money™.

Being the #5 to years in a row without a proper point guard and then adding a legit vet plus 2 years under Mitchell's belt seems like a recipe for a top 2 seed imho. It really depends on what happens in free agency of course but it's hard to see the team going from 5th seed to anything lower than 3rd see with the addition of Conley. Pumped.

Also, clearly the summer league is a place where jazz players will have a chance to make the roster. Itll be fun to watch them compete for roster spots.

It's what I've been asking for for years! Even if NONE of the 3 picks has a long-term future with the Jazz, maybe they become trade chips.

I think Utah is done making big moves. Lindsey still believes in Exum. I've never been on the Exum hype train, but there have been flashes...and freak injuries. With his defense, he COULD be a key part of the rotation. Likely? I'm not sure. But might be worth seeing what he can do before we try to discard him. Obviously, if Harris DOES want to come to the Jazz, then you make it happen. But there's no rule saying all moves have to be done this summer. Favors will be an expiring contract. Exum might be a serviceable backup. Maybe the final move(s) get done at the deadline.

I am excited to see if any vets think they can chase a ring with Utah. We have some roster spots available. And I think the current roster makes Utah a valid contender. Another wing, a big and maybe a PG or combo guard. I wonder if Thabo returns. He's a pretty good utility player. Shot much better than I thought he would in his 2 seasons with the Jazz.

This. They finally made some use of their eternal "financial flexibility". Add in some organic growth and now we're cooking with gas.

So most seem to feel that the acquisition of Conley is the equivalent of getting Boozer and Deron Williams in the same year! There's no question that we are stacking a deck against a weaker Western Congrence than every before! Our players are young, athletic, entergetic, smart, talented, willing and wanting to learn and improve there game! We've got a great coaching staff with a high basketball IQ!

For me just seeing the reporting of players open to, or wanting to, come here over the last year is a massive shift for the Jazz.

Can’t wait for next season and the future.
For the first time it's starting to feel like the Jazz have the options and players are hoping we pick them. I mean even if it a couple decent players, that's more than we've ever really had. Usually it's just a sad story of "we are not a FA destination. We have to overpay for anything we're able to get." That might not be entirely true anymore.

Another fun aspect of the summer. ..which former Jazzmen stay in the league and where.

Former jazz draft picks Trey Burke, Rodney Hood, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter and Trey Lyles are free agents.

So is Tyler lydon who was technically drafted as a jazz player.

Paul Milsap could be a FA.

Demarre Carroll, Shelvin Mack, George Toe-Hill, Ricky Rubio, Jonas Jerebko are all expected to be on the move.

July will be very entertaining.

But without your boy, Ricky, won't it all be for naught?

enes kanter is a Bum!!!!!

He talked so much **** on Utah, and you’re gonna stick up for him. He’s a good dude, but after all the **** talking he did on the jazz, he’s a bum. And so are you. Bum!

Damn. Well, I guess I'm a bum. I mean I don't really like Kanter, but I guess I don't hate him enough for you. I guess you didn't find my dark humor of Kanter being in danger of being murdered by his home nation's dictator funny. I'll try harder next time.

There’s nothing funny about that, I actually feel bad for Kanter going through that situation. I also think he’s handled it well and respectfully. Bottom line is, you talk **** on the city I was born and raised in, you’re probably a bum
