This is why I'll never miss Grayson Allen

it's like "Trey Lyles helped us get Mitchell" kind of talk. I'm sure we could've worked out some other package(Dante, for example) to acquire DM if we took somebody else at 12 in 2015. It was Denver's dumbness more than anything. Have they not fell for it, we are probably stuck with Lyles the same way we are with Dante right now. A mistake was a mistake. The outcome doesn't change the fact.

Not to mention out of every asset we gave to Memphis in exchange for Conley, Grayson is probably the least valuable. Swap him with someone else and the trade would probably still go through.

I looked over last years draft selections after grayson and there are only 3 guys who I would even want out of the next 45 players selected.

Anfernee Simon's
Landry Shamet
Rodion Kurucs

Possible honorable mention is Omari Spellman.

Outside of those guys it's all crickets. Grayson put down 40 pts in his rookie season and showed a few things on occasion. Enough to not be a glaring mistake considering 3 - 4 of the next 45 players drafted did less. I still say that his being part of the trade to get Conley was his best play of the season.

Drafting Trey Lyles over Booker was a mistake. I called the evening of the draft as I cussed out the TV. But it was rectified and I would MUCH rather have donovan over booker.
 
Allen is looking good in the championship game or no? Lol at the dudes that say he can't create his own shot or sucks. I'm not saying he's great or anything, but he has flashes of being a good player in the NBA.

I like Grayson, I ain't gonna talk s*&t about him. Unless he starts being a d*xk against the Jazz during the regular season.
 
Grayson was the leading scorer for the Griz with 17 and Kelan Martin (who played for the Jazz in summer league in 2018) was the leading scorer for the game with 19 points.
 
I loved the pick, eh, still do. Back in my playing days before I became a fat man I got into my share of tussles on the court. Some guys are wired different and have trouble getting out of their own way. I wish him well, and hope he does well this year.
