The civil discourse in our country... oof...

Again, Trump is dividing America because his own party is too chicken to rebuke this racist ****. Self-preservation, Tax cuts, and judges are too important.

Trump is a snake oil salesman, not a Nazi.

However, I had a late 1920s History text book that meticulously explains how the Nazis and Hitler would be kept in check. Seriously. Germany had free elections, a constitutional democracy, advanced technology. The Weimar Republic had two elected legislative houses. Constitution required Freedom of Speech and Press.

But when the storm troopers showed up at the Reichstag in 1933, surprisingly they voted to end democracy and make Hitler dictator.

I hope we never believe it could never happen here, because that is the kind of thinking that leads to it happening here.

The administration adamantly refuses to recognize Congressional oversight over the Executive branch of the federal government, a "check and balance" granted by the Constitution. The administration is instructing everyone to ignore Congressional supoenas. In due time, the courts may side with Congress. They should, Congressional oversight is granted by the Constitution, but the authoritarian nature of this president is reflected by its effort to deny Congressional oversight.

PS. The total amount Warren Buffet donated to a myriad of candidates all the way from 2000 to 2015 was $329,000.
