What's new

* NEW * 2019 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

Simulator rules:

I will assign each player Greg Foster and Howard Eisley at 0 minutes. Unless told differently, I will play your starter 36 minutes and their backup 12 minutes. If you want to do special assignments (like, 10 minutes at SF, 10 minutes at SG) let me know.

I have to pick a season for the players. Unless told otherwise, I will pick their highest paid season (mostly because that's how the site sorts it by default.) You can tell me anything else reasonable and easy. (Highest assist average is reasonable and easy. A specific year is reasonable and easy. Highest rebounding year is r & e. Highest combined VORP might be easy, but it's not reasonable for me to try to calculate that.)

Sounds like @gandalfe has it sorted but hit me up if you have any questions.

FYI. The 2 players selected to make up the 12 man rotation only ever play if your guys foul out. Home court also matters..

I'd also like to see the simulations count to the voting somehow. My suggestion would be a 7 game series and if you win 4-3 you are awarded 1 vote, 4-2 (2votes), 4-1 (3votes), sweep (4 votes) basically the net games won.

Also, integrity is vital.

Surprised no one took Michael Redd....one of my favorite non superstar players of all time.
Between him and Ben Gordon, I went with Gordon. Played well on a bigger stage. I don’t remember much about Redd in the postseason.

How long do we have to send the rotation minutes?

Surprised Tom Chambers, Larry Nance SR. Jermaine O’Neal weren’t drafted
I had a write up written for both Nance and O’Neale before I ultimately decided on Bobby Jones, Glenn Robinson and Kyle Lowry.

Besides those two - Wes Unseld, DeMar DeRozan and Alvin Robertson are my snubs this year.

And here's my summary...

Timmy and Dr. J have a mid-game discussion about how Mark Price reminds everyone of Stuart Smalley.

Roster/Rotation
PG: Jerry West (36), Mark Price (12)
SG: Sidney Moncrief (36), Allan Houston (12)
SF: Dr. J (38), Detlef Schrempf (10)
PF: Tim Duncan (30), Antawn Jamison (12), Mehmet Okur (6)
C: Artis Gilmore (36), Tim Duncan (6), Mehmet Okur (6)

Playing Style:
There is going to be a lot of PNR's being run by West and Dr. J with my bigs of Timmy and Gilmore. Duncan will play some Center minutes too, allowing me to bring in some stretch power forwards. The coaching will be very Gregg Poppovich inspired, with a lot of double screens. My starters are all tough, physical defenders who can score and my bench would be brought in to spread the floor with their outside shooting. Detlef provides the post-game sauerbraten as well. Boom bitches.
