What's new

Following Potential 2020 draftees

Mizzou is also very interesting to look at strictly from a recruiting angle, with the Counzo Martin hire. Kentucky stealing Cam'Ron Fletcher from under his nose isn't the best start.

St. Louis is actually a pretty solid recruiting hotspot, Quinn Synder knows... Maybe u dont have the depth there but it seems there's a steady supply of high-end talent players ranked at the top every year

There is gonna be absolute Lamelo ball hysteria this year btw. Y'all realize ESPN signed a 2-year deal with the NBL to broadcast games right? Why do you think that is?...?

Now here is the latest LaMelo footage, from the Drew League playoffs, and its very very good. Makes a ton of 3's. Makes some really nice passes.

This is gonna be a put-up-or-shut-up year for Shaka Smart at Texas. 2 DAYS AGO ANDREW JONES WAS CLEARED FOR ALL BASKETBALL ACTIVITIES !!!! HOOORAY!!!!

Their backcourt is gonna be the most reliable they've had for some time, the frontcourt though is gonna be a bit more interesting....

Jericho Sims is gonna finally get his minutes /role increase, he's gonna be extremely impressive.

Kameka Hepa at PF is something I've been waiting to see for some time, he looks talll to me too.

Their PG rotation of Courtney Ramey and Matt Coleman is super strong. Also we should see a nice uptick from Jase Febres this year.

I think that should be a pleasant surprise and should be a near top-25 team at somepoint.

The real sleeper / x-factor on the team is Gerald Lidell, he'll be a Sophomore, he was always seen as raw but high upside, interested to see how he's improved.

**One could make a strong argument that in fact Sophomore Courtney Ramey is the real x-factor. But for that team to truly be at it's best, Lidell will be out there doing all sorts of crazy athletic stuff at SF..

Damn Gerald Liddel only played 84 minutes as a Freshman. Can't even find any highlights. He's about 6'8" and hyper-athletic wing player tho. Poor-mans Wiggins skillset tbh.

Here's some Courtney Ramey footage, he's 6'3" and shot .386 from 3 as a frosh.

St. Louis kid, I was just talkin bout St. Louis in one of these threads.... Now that Kerwin Roach is gone they are gonna take the training wheels off...

Whats strange in the "returnee's to watch list" is that it's not always guys who performed well,. or perfomed at-all as a freshman... and then there's the redshirt thing...

Not to toot my own horn but just as an example, I was in these threads talkin about De'Andre Hunter being a player to keep an eye on before he ever played.

Then another layer is injuries, and then you've got JUCO x-fers. IT's really quite a task to try and stay up on this stuff...

2000-born this kids name is gonna keep popping up til draft time, especially if he shoots it well... Looks like he's 6'10 to me...

Moe Wagner's Younger brother Franz looks legit!! He's 6'7" and a swingman. Will be at Michigan. Born 9/27/2001 makes him eligible this year...

The Buzz Williams hire at Texas A&M is gonna be a huge success. He just got his big guy 6'11" Jonathan Aku. Cashius McNeiley once bigtime heralded canadian guard prospect is gonna be there too.

The foundation for the next few years is gonna be strong.

As of now, I'd say Anthony Edwards is the favorite to go #1. This kid is an elite athlete. He'll be a fun matchup for D.Mitchell.

I think his college showcase is gonna go swimmingly. kid is a highlight waiting to happen and he's a legit shooter.

Jase Febres Texas Junior SG should be a decent breakout candidate this year too. Texas is gonna outperform i'm sure.

Addison PAtterson who's a reclassed kid, up from Canada, will announce tommorow. It's likely he'll end up at Oregon so i've factored that in;

surely i've made some oversights.

FSU, tennessee, auburn, davidson, illinois, south carolina, creighton, georgetown few of the teams i like that just missed the cut.

If Ashton Hagans can improve his shot he's going to be a great pick for someone. Good defender, good PG, good attitude, a winner; I think he'll cut down on the T.O.s this season as well.

with Hagans, Quickley and Tyrese Maxey I suspect were gonna see a bit of a platoon at PG for UK to start in the out of conference and it will will settle itself during SEC play.

It's not an overloaded platoon per se, with Maxey and Quickley being SG sized.

Im hopinh Quickley gonna in top shape and much improved, he just seems to me like the type of guard that would blossom there, he's got the tools. I think a lot of people are gonna be surprised at Quickley because he is actually a solid 3pt shooter.

Gonna be very interesting to see if Johnny Juzang can be a factor at guard too, even though he's 6'7".Has some combo skills. smart player.

What a crazy senior class this should be in college basketball! Lotta players hoping to go out with a major bang

A crazy sub-plot to this draft is just how strong the next 2 drafts are... It's increasingly clear thats the situation.
