Purple throwbacks are official!

I still remember sitting in a neighbor’s large van as we were driving back from either a baseball game or baseball practice and one of the other kids in the van mentioned how there were new jerseys and they were “awesome.” Naturally, I was quite curious as I never knew any other Jazz jersey, so I had to track down the newspaper to find it. Kids these days getting it tweeted immediately.
 
From the Utah Jazz Note podcast on the jerseys: "It would come to represent a change in fortunes, Jazz breaking through the post season plateau to reach the NBA finals in back to back seasons, and eventually the mountains would mark the end of an era, as the hall-of-fame careers of John Stockton and Karl Malone came to a close in Utah".......this......this is why the jerseys mean so much. Not because they are 100% the most beautiful thing out there, but the fact that they represent everything Utah Jazz, these are the jerseys everyone thinks of when you mention the Jazz, Karl, or John. Now we have Rudy and Donovan, and hopefully they can make them every bit as iconic and remember-able.

My brother was staying with my cousins in Michigan at the time. I had to mail him a picture that I clipped from the SLT lol

Bad ***. I don't really like the jerseys that much but when paired with the court I like them much much better.

Oh and Conley wearing dat AB #10 gives me chills

As much as I love the Mountain jerseys above any other alternative, something did not feel right.

Now I realize that as I get more of that content, I feel like an entirely different experience of a season is coming down the Utah Jazz's way this year.

Ha... if Georges ain't grabbing his junk he's swishing threes. The short grab is a nice touch, but you know it is either pre or post junk grab and likely both. That is the look in between.

IDK, but they didn't have the shorts up yet... I'm getting the shorts fo sho. I'm always super unimpressed with the merchandising efforts of the NBA in general. Seems like I can never get what I want.
