What's new

Monday 9/9 FIBA game thread

Last game for USA to experiment with line-ups. In the last couple of games, they've learned they can dominate the game with their defense and ability to play multiple playmakers, even playing Barnes at the 5. I think there's some Steve Kerr influence. Having multiple playmakers -- e.g., Mitchell, Smart, White -- is one way to beat a zone. Then guys like Brown, Turner and Barnes have an athletic advantage in the paint. Lopez was DNP last game.

Probably the Aussies beats France, but you never know.

On NBA Radio this morning they said DM has played "next level" defense in the tournament.

Just noticed I posted about the game in the wrong thread.

This is the only game at FIBA that I don't want mitchell playing well.
