Skylar Richardson Trial

@Wes Mantooth you'll love this, Skylar's English teacher testified today for the defense saying Skylar had always asked him about his daughters.

I thought of you when I saw that.. haha.. since you're also an English teacher?!?

He's soft spoken though.

Yeah it showed she took like less than 100 steps between 9am-1pm, then 2,000 steps between 1-2pm, then nothing after that. She was also the last person with the victim. She gave the detective stories about them going somewhere else together but the cell tower info said otherwise.

The next day she was seen in that HomeDepot video.

She was found guilty in less than 2 hours.

Obviously you’re giving me a limited account of events but that thing with the steps would mean nothing to me. Okay, she watched tv for four hours and then decided to get off her butt and start doing errands around the house. It could’ve been as simple as that. Not saying it was because obviously there must have been a **** ton of evidence pointing her way but the steps in and of itself means jack.

I assume she’s an addict?

Well it's a circumstantial case, it's all the evidence put together. There was no DNA, as the corpse was a month old due to her giving the police the run around. The case is like a week long I don't have the time here to tell you everything, nor do I remember everything.. lol

You know, you use lol at weird places lol

A drug addict?

Why did she owe the girl money?
In the Ashley McArthur's case (HomeDepot) yes it seems they used drugs. The victim stole some money from her ex-husband and gave it to the accused for safe keeping, the accused spent the money on her boyfriend ($40k), and when asked to return the money killed the victim.

But the post you quoted was the Skylar Richardson's case, she's a highschool student and no she doesn't do drugs, a very good student and is by all account very well behaved.

My bad.

Um, no? I watched the Ashley McArthur's trial 2 weeks ago and I don't remember that being in the news all that much.

In that one she took the victim (her friend that she owed money to) to her family's farm and killed her point blank with a gun at the back of the head. She then went to HomeDepot the next day, bought concrete mix and potting mix to cover up the body. Funny thing is she was a former CSI agent so she should have known better than to go to HomeDepot that had a crystal clear video clip of her entering and buying both the concrete mix and the potting mix. I would have gone to a smaller hardware store instead. Also why wear a fitbit watch that tells the investigator you had walked 2,000+ steps during the time of the murder? Defense argued she had a bad back... um.. no?!?!

Also watched Michael Drejka trial the week before... ok maybe the Drejka one is a bit tabloidy but I do followed the ordinary ones as well as long as they're publicly streamed online.

You can’t deny that you are beyond obsessed with tabloids and celebrity.

OK so the defense rests today, seems like closing argument's tomorrow and deliberation straight after.

I'll post the closing arguments in case anyone's interested.

Looks like we'll have the verdict just before the weekend.

Welp.. there's the verdict.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Still feel though that in these type of cases the deceased really has no voice.. especially the baby in this case. Nobody would ever know what had really happened to her and that's really really sad.
