Gobert's offensive impact against team USA

I thought the discussion and gifs of Rudy's offensive impact in this article was interesting. And it got me more excited for how the Jazz can similarly take advantage now that we have more shooters.

Good article... also heard on Locke's pod with Rob Mahoney... Rob says the best thing to provide to a dynamic off the dribble player is spacing... between DM's driving and Rudy's rolling and the shooting we should have... how good can this offense be? Like top 10? 5?

If we can stay healthy I think we can easily be top 5. I don't think it's totally crazy to think we could possibly have a top 5 offense and defense.

On paper I can totally see it... I'm sure Snyder has been in the lab all summer just cooking up options with all these new guys.

It’s not just DM, though! Our best lineup (Gobert, Bogdanovic, Ingles, DM, Conley) has Gobert with 4 guys who shoot AND handle in the PnR.

Defenses are ****ed.

What happened? Every player on the Warriors got hurt.

I think if you're looking forward to Gobert's offensive impact you should also look forward to (and cross your fingers for) Dante playing a lot of minutes this year. I won't repeat the post I made recently in the Dante Interview thread, but he's arguably most likely Jazz player to maximize Gobert's scoring.

The Raptors still did an amazing job, not only leading up to the Finals, but once they got to the Warriors. Durant didn't get injured until Game 5 and the Warriors still won that game! Klay wasn't injured until game 6. If you wanted to discredit the job the Raptors did, than the Warriors should've swept and won it in 4 games. The Raptors had a 3-1 lead going into the 5th game.
DO YOU WATCH BASKETBALL, OR DO YOU ONLY WATCH THE JAZZ??

DO YOU WATCH BASKETBALL? Durant didn't play games 1-4.

Correct, but they had the same core that they won championships with already in tact and added the talent of Boogie.
Draymond Green,
Steph Curry
Klay Thompson
Andre Iguodala
Demarcus Cousins

This core couldn't beat Kawhi, Gasol and Lowry?? How many excuses will you make. "All the Warriors were injured". This team should've never lost to Toronto, they beat them down against all odds. So now Durant goes down and they suck? That core minus boogie won championships together against Lebron, Irving. What a way to dodge giving credit to a team that was truly amazing..
