I had Dish for 4 years. I was paying $70/month and I had the most basic package with the regional sports (no ESPN or TNT). I cancelled in May. When I cancelled they offered to drop my price to $39/month, then $29/month (would have only worked for the summer.) I did something like this last summer, but I was sick of Dish so I cancelled.

Now the cheapest I can find is $80/month for 24 months with Dish (price lock, DirectTV is cheaper for one year, but jacks it up for the next 12 months.)

All I want TV for is Jazz games. I barely watch Netflix. No one in my family watches TV. I don’t want to pay $1000/year to watch Jazz games.

We need to pull the heart strings of Gail Miller. The Jazz are supposed to be “a gift to Utah” but people can’t afford tickets or cable anymore. It needs to go back to KJZZ. Maybe we can build momentum prior to the next contract negotiation.

Hehe is $100 for the season. If you do decide to do it, use my referral link. We’ll both get a discount.

I have YouTube TV. It does basically everything I want. Gets most sports, can be played anywhere, and has unlimited DVR.

But.

I don’t have jazz games. Soooooooo what are my options? League pass or illegally stream? Sigh. How much is league pass generally?

If you live in Utah, League Pass isn’t an option. You have to be out of the normal broadcasting zone.

A work around is to use a VPN and get a IP out of Utah. If you choose a different country, you pay less. I think India is something like $20 for the entire year.

I hear they’ve been able to spot this method (at least some of the time) and stop it. Just hearsay. But check it out.

I’m liking the idea of hehestreams because I live in LA and get a ton of blackout games on LP.

I just got the Jazz pass through sling and apparently you can now log into nba league pass with it. Couldn't do that last year with sling and didn't like how it worked, because they never showed the previous game. But now I am going to try it and log into with league pass site. I am just not likeing how nbaleague pass no longer takes paypal and just wants a credit card.

I'm Bernie Sanders and I think access to Utah Jazz games is your right as an American citizen. It's not just for the billionaires!

I use league pass, its amazing but my main worry is finding time to watch this season

Does league pass work for Jazz games if you live in Utah?

I know Sunday Ticket blacks out the local broadcast game.
