Concerning stats or not?

Bogey is shooting a pathetic 27% from the 2 and a sad 25% from the 3. People are going to say it's preseason.... and I might give you that for defense but to shoot so poorly is concerning for me.

Bogey simply looks out of sync. His passing has been poor as well. I think it's a matter of him getting comfortable with the other guys. It's the same for Conley, though he hasn't been nearly as bad.

His shooting isn't my concern necessarily, even though he had only one year at age 29 that he put up 18 ppg.

The more concerning thing is the lack of anything else he does.

I knew a thread like this was coming. He'll be fine. He needs to stop overthinking things and play more off feel and instincts. The dudes been a knockdown shooter the past few years, he didn't just all of a sudden forget how to shoot.

I think Bogdanovic might be moved to the second unit, at least for the first weeks of the season, with Green becoming the starter. By doing that, Snyder would minimize his struggles by not only limiting his playing time but also being able to choose when and against whom he would be inserted. Besides, Bogdanovic could more easily regain his confidence by playing against second units and having more touches.

I just think he's not in great shape. He does not look great in any facet of the game, and he should have come in ready to go. He's like Don last year, but Don had an excuse. I think he'll be okay but it will take a little time. He's missing open shots pretty badly, and that, I hope, is just from hypoxia. Because of how much movement Quin's offense uses, and the timing/reads each person needs to make, I expected them to be ragged, but it's worse than I thought. They have not played well, but from here out I think they will get better. The good news is Conley/Bog are only going to make $50m this year...

There was a quote somewhere in the game thread about Bojan telling Locke he didn’t do anything this summer. I had questioned the context of him referring to the National team and not the fact that he didn’t do anything. Wanted to add some context here since I won’t go to the other thread to find it:

"I am kind of, a little bit, struggling right now,” he said. “I just lost the feel for the game because I didn’t have any games for five, six months. ... Playing more games, more minutes, I’ll be better.”

Pretty sure that there were people on this forum that ripped on Joe Ingle's shooting when he first started playing for the Jazz. Obviously Joe was also an NBA rookie at the time so there is a major difference there. Not saying that Bogey is in the same circumstance at Joe, but pointing out that it might be useful to reassess after he has time to adjust.

Almost all of Bogey's shots are right there (although last night you can see the frustration setting in a bit). He's gone back-heel on at least a half dozen shots the last 3 games. He might be too strong and maybe a little to hyped being on a new team with a new contract.

He'll get there.

He’s really in his head right now... everything is tentative. I’m not super concerned but mental stuff can spiral. I’m a 1.5 out of 10 on the worried scale.

Part of my non-concern is Bojan is kind of a luxury if Green and Royce play up to expectation. I think he gets defensive attention either way based on rep... which opens things up for the other guys.
