What's new

Blazers at Jazz tonight. 7 PM. Last game of preseason.

The jazz can't win a game. And guess what Dante isn't playing. So what's the issue? It looks like the jazz need Dante to win some games.

Haha. Not a fluke?

Actually when it only happened one year out of many then you probably should call it a fluke.
Well, under your own logic, preseason games should be called a fluke too. Small sample size and they don't show what he is capable of. Even at 15-16ppg, it's an excellent signing

I’ve always been high Mudiay. I just think he needs a situation like this, he just needs to be coached up. I was excited when we signed him, if nothing else his athletic ability and scoring will look great on our bench.

Usually we hear about athletes getting bad advice. In this case Mudiay got great advice. He’s finally going to be in a good system and look good in it. If he’s open to the coaching he’s going to receive, he will get paid next summer

Other than a solid jumper I felt his biggest problems were mental. He didn’t seem lost on offense or defense. He has some tunnel vision I think but that might be a good thing... we kind of need someone hunting shots off the bench.

I thought my biggest concern would be backup pg... but it’s backup center. I think Davis turns out fine but he’s no Favs. I’m hoping he was chilling a bit in preseason mode... just not sure he’s big enough to work in our standard defensive scheme. Wish he was a better pick and roll finisher. The offensive rebounds are nice and being able to move a little better than most bigs on the perimeter is good.

I might be turning a corner on Bradley. Despite looking like a dinosaur he is great at getting up and down the court. He started showing it in games. If he can hang defensively he might provide better rim protection and better finishing on the pick and roll.

We were 5-0 in 2018 and 2017 preseason.

The Warriors have had poor preseasons recently too.

It's going to take a lot more than 3 weeks for this team to learn to play at their best.

The main thing to me is Don and Mike look damn good together.

Not too worried about Davis. When games matter, I think he'll show a bit better than he has. I think he will adapt well to Snyder's system, and the team.

I really like what is developing with our bench. Having Ingles take the lead, creating plays for Green, Davis anchoring the D, and then having Mudiay out there being hawkish to score. When those four develop some familiarity and chemistry, I think we may end up with one of the better benches in the league.
