What's new

The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

This is like election night up in here. I'm giddy with excitement that Trumps world is burning down in such spectacular fashion.

My mind is already wandering to what happens when Trump is lead out of the White House by military police and who replaces him. Will Pence get caught up in this too? Who would be the interim President then?
If Pence goes down as well, which I find extremely unlikely, Nancy Pelosi would become president.

What do you think the consequence for this should be?
Pretty much what he's getting now. A lot of pressure and anger. If he goes through with it, I won't argue with this one and the talks of impeachment.

I have no problem with calling a spade a spade when it's not some stupid *** closed meeting, keep everything secret, lie about the transcripts, lie about meetings, one sided hoax.

Haha. Love it when a plan doesn't come together...

(CNN)President Donald Trump is not pleased with acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney's press briefing and his acknowledgment on Thursday of a quid pro quo, according to a source close to the President.

"He was not happy," the source said.

Mulvaney shocked reporters when he admitted the Trump administration had held up military funding to Ukraine to press the country to investigate the handling of a Democratic National Committee server hacked in the 2016 election. When told that he had described a quid pro quo arrangement for the military funding, Mulvaney said, "We do that all the time with foreign policy" and later added, "Get over it. There's going to be political influence in foreign policy."

Lol delusional. Trump will still be filthy rich drinking margaritas living the dream. You weirdos have some fixation that you're going to show him but you wont.

Funny I read different.

Well, that will be nice to see. I have my doubts though, considering you are calling something the administration has admitted to doing multiple times "a hoax."

Oh lol I also see the whistleblower isn't even going to testify. Wonder why?
Well, everything he's alleged has been shown to be accurate, so I don't think there's much point to his testimony anymore.

This is like worrying about why a 911 caller isn't testifying in a trial where the defendant has already admitted his crimes.

One person who spoke to Trump said, however, that he was pleased with Mulvaney’s performance

Like I said the other so day it'samazingly irresponsible using "unnamed sources". Sadly people don't even question it.

Sure... God forbid transparency and bringing light to the situation. I get it. This is only impeaching an elected official here. Let's leave the main witness out.

It's almost like this is a game to the left. Well it is.

Of course everyone should use critical thinking when reading the news. Even when the sources for the story are known.

With that in mind you'd have to be an absolute moron to believe Trump was happy about Mulvaney saying loudly and clearly that a Ukrainian investigation into the DNC was part of a quid pro quo for military aid.

He's not the main witness. He's the guy who made the 911 call after he heard there was a crime.

Would it be nice to get his testimony? Sure.

But we're well past the point of the whistleblower being the lynch pin of the investigation.

I really don't care actually. I think it's petty as **** to get bent out of shape over something so stupid but that happens daily here. I'm just pointing out what I consider **** news. Hearsay.

I'm not sure anyone here is getting bent out of shape.

Seems like excuses to me. They are obviously hiding something. Crazy thing is that Trump has been the only transparent one here. He released the actual transcripts, now what transparency has the left afforded? Nothing...

If Pence goes down as well, which I find extremely unlikely, Nancy Pelosi would become president.
Only if they go down simultaneously. If Trump goes down first then Pence will immediately appoint a Veep. If Pence goes down first (highly unlikely) then Trump will similarly immediately replace him. Simultaneity could only be achieved, as far as I know, if the Senate considers them as co-defendants and has a joint conviction vote.

This is crazy!

Not that they did it, that much was obvious, but that Mulvaney should tell the truth about it.
