Zach Lowe says the Jazz will trade for... Get ready Infection

Exum and TB for MM, which is pretty much what I suggested we’d trade into cap space to land Morris. It’s possiboe he stole this idea for me and just rebranded it as a trade now that MM is under contract.

That said, I’ve been impressed by Jeff Green and have less reservations. However, we still need a bit more options of rebounding and defense from bigger players that aren’t Gobert. MM isn’t an amazing rebounder, but is a lot better than Green. And apparently the best defender against LeBron for like the past 5 years.

I think it balances out our rotation a bit better rather than having a glut of smaller wings that are playing multiple positions to actually having good size options, too.

The Knicks have a stockpile of PFs that could be of interest to the Jazz, including Portis, Morris, Randle and Taj Gibson. The trade pieces would probably be Exum, Niang and a 2nd-rd pick, unless Exum shows he's amazing. Okay, I see Tony Bradley....eh, maybe. If the Jazz need more toughness and rebounding, that's the move to make.

Personally, if I'm the Jazz and I have a shot at Domantas Sabonis, I think about it very hard.

Not a bad base idea (Exum + small asset for a 4 who's startable) if things break the right way. Still a bit more of an Aminu man myself.

I really liked his dad, and I like him, but can he play anything besides the 5?
Also, why are the Pacers - a good team with a very good shot to be a top-4 seed - trading him, exactly? Especially if he’s playing alongside Turner well enough?

They aren’t... at least not for what we have to offer.

He also mentions the Exum/Bradley package for Covington. Either would be kinda baller, but RoCo would be too sick.

Money and fit. Sabonis is about to get paid. Basically, they are in the same spot we were with Gobert/Favors. Turner's/Sabonis play center and it's just not smart to commit 40M to overlapping bigs (especially a small market). I guess they will wait and see how well they play together at the start of the season.

we ain’t getting RoCo for that. It’s nice to dream though. Zach mentioned a bunch of PFs... if we need help there will be options. I expect this season will be a sellers market... things are wide open and some teams that should rank aren’t... will be a low supply of win now guys available.

Just an FYI... I posted it because I found it funny. I don’t think we pursue him... especially after he did San Antonio dirty.

when talking about the pacers, lowe spoke over his concern over shot creaction as of when oladipo remains out, and that trading one of sabonis or turner in search of this player could be a way to fix that (while also looking to the succes of their big pairing and if they can find an agreement to extend sabonis)
