Hillary Clinton says Tulsi Gabbard is a 'Russian asset' groomed to ensure Trump reelection

I think the Dems must have a rubber stamp that says, "Blame Russia."

cuz the Soviet Union wasn’t the motivator behind most of our international interventions over the past 50 years?

I love how Trumpers conveniently forget who our arch enemy in the post WWII era was. And now they assume that a former KGB officer, who has repeatedly claimed that the, “breakup of the USSR was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century”, would never ever do anything to attack the west.

eyeroll

Good heavens. Some of you could really benefit by studying history.

There's a link to the podcast in the article. I listened to it. She said it.

The only clarification l would make is l don't think she was insinuating that Gabbard or Stein were actively working with The Russians. I think she meant The Russians were somehow propping up her campaign thru whatever nefarious resources they use.

Still, a galatically stupid and destructive comment.

but why is it stupid? Russia already is using her:

In case you weren't exactly sure why election meddling was allowed in the first place.

Also claimed Jill Stein in 2016 was a Russian “asset” lmfao.

if she had anything beyond wild, irresponsible conjecture she would, and should, come forward with it.

I'm glad I revealed to see what was being posted. I got curious who was spouting off and expected to see a lot of Hack and saw this post. It was irresistible.

It's not conjecture. It's a fact. Congress investigated and found that Russia promoted Jill Stein:

Russia probe
In December 2018, two reports commissioned by the US Senate found that the Russian government's attempts to interfere in the 2016 election had included boosting Stein's candidacy through social media posts. This disinformation effort targeted African-American voters in particular.

Not only that, but she regularly appeared on RT and was invited to Russia to attend the same meeting that got a certain Michael Flynn in a lot of hot water:

An NBC News analysis found that Russians working under the direction of the Internet Research Agency, the St. Petersburg-based firm run by a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, tweeted the phrase “Jill Stein” over 1,000 times around the time of the election

Clinton's concerns that Russia is going to use Tulsi to hurt the Democratic candidate isn't at all out in left field. They're already promoting her. Their own embassy is tweeting about her. Can you name another Democratic candidate they've defended/promoted?

If you believe that Russia attacked us in 2016 then I can't see how you could just brush off Clinton's comments about Russia using Tulsi Gabbard. Hate the messenger? Sure. Think the timing is bad? Ok. But completely disregard the message? I don't think so.

Wait, were people not aware that Russia actively supported Stein's campaign? Hmm, y'all are less well informed than I'd thought.

I'm shocked everyday how much people on this board forget/never knew. I had a poster a week or so ago actually say that "Russia didn't interfere in the 2016 election, it was a hoax."

It's really mind boggling. I get that this isn't one of my political science courses that I've taught in the past. But my goodness... I don't know how our democracy is supposed to survive if we can't even agree with basic facts about our political system and history.

I wish people would stop arguing. I think some just want to argue with me for the sake of arguing. And instead just read the facts. Hate me? Fine. Disagree with my political views? Sure, it's a message board. Read the links I provide.

Many on here could benefit if they read a little more and argued a little less.

"But maybe Hillary's right. I mean, if you think about it, you know, here you have Putin is grooming a Russian spy first to join the American military, right? Then after that, Russian spies in the military. Then you run for Congress, OK, in Hawaii," Gutfeld said. "And then you decide to run for president as a Democrat, only to leave and then go independent in order to ensure that Donald Trump is president. The Russians must have been genius to predict that Trump would be president in 2020, to pull this off."

never cared to look into stein in the first place. So why would I know Russia promoted her?

lmfao at the insinuation that we are uninformed as a result. Guarantee there’s plenty of stuff you don’t know. Uninformed ignoramus lmfao

as has been mentioned, argue less and listen to the great enlightener more ;)

yes, this was posted in a light hearted, mocking tone.

If you were going to post something like this I just kind of assumed you'd bothered to do literally any research on the topic, but I guess you're just not that kind of guy.

considering Clinton has blamed everyone and everything for her loss combined with an accusation supported by absolutely nothing, I didn’t bother for looking for a nugget of truth regarding a never was.

congrats on trying to act like a douchebag on a sports forums.
And if you try to claim you’re all informed about every post you make, I call you a liar as well as a wanna be douchebag

cheers!

There's plenty of stuff I don't know and never will, no argument there. Maybe next time I'm uninformed you can enlighten me :)

I was a little short in this exchange, I'm becoming increasingly tired of folks commenting on political stuff that really does affect (or maybe effect, I can never remember) us all in such a lighthearted manner.

The arrival of winter probably hasn't helped my mood much either :(

I genuinely hope you enjoy the rest of your evening Stoked.
