If Exum were healthy, playing elite defense, and scoring about 12ppg, then Indiana would be interested. Exum and Oladipo could be a very pesky defensive duo.

Jazz don't have decent trade assets. Royce would be the only young player other teams would really want. But Royce and Exum combined is only $10M. Either Joe or Bojan would likely have to be included in any trades. I just don't see that happening. We're stuck with the roster as is, pending any minor moves, or if a vet who gets released wants to sign with the Jazz in Feb/Mar.
Other than a teammate breaking his face on Portis’s fist. His defense is 'suspect', but one of those other Knicks PFs, Portis, would probably kill it next to Gobert. Pretty terrific outside shooter (has been close to 40% from three several times over past seasons) and is a good rebounder. True pro as well.
Sabonis is on rookie contract so you probably could even send Davis and change with a host of picks. Not saying Indy would do that, just that would be enough to match the salary.

I’m sorta puzzled at why they would trade for Baynes when they could’ve signed him this offseason. It was certainly discussed, and I’m sure that Baynes would’ve signed with the Jazz for near-equal money over signing with Dumpster Fire, AZ.It says a lot that Lowe is talking about a Jazz trade before the season begins. It seems a lot of the teams that do win it all, make one minor/impactful trade at the deadline (see the Pistons getting Rasheed Wallace), the Raptors (Marc Gasol), etc. If the Jazz do make a trade for a big who can hit from outside, my money would be on Aron Baynes. He was rumored to be waived by the Suns earlier this summer, (because he's 32 years old) but they decided to keep him. That being said, they've got Kaminsky, Saric and Ayton that they are developing. Look for Phoenix to move Baynes for whatever they can get at the deadline.
He's 6'10 and plays 4/5 hits 34% from 3, and 85% free throws. Joe Ingles will have instant chemistry with him from their time together on the Australian National team. Having a 5 that can shoot from beyond the arc, and hits all their free throws could be a huge difference-maker in the Utah lineups.

Thanks for that. I thought he was a FAHe opted in because he wasn't assured a better offer than he had. Then was moved to Phoenix in a salary dump... we couldn't do that deal. I could see us making a trade if Davis isn't working. I like Baynes.
