Jimmy G is not the achilles’ heel of his team, and never has been. Until last night they didn’t need him to be. He may have 7 int’s, but four of them bounced off of wr’s hands. His numbers aren’t eye popping but every time his team needed a big throw or play he’s delivered. His numbers aren’t great because the team is predicated on ball control and defense, and keeping the ball out of the hands of its opponent.

Agreed. The system isn’t asking or demanding he throw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns every game.

If I’m a Niners fan, my fear would be Shanahan’s playcalling in the 2nd half of a big playoff game. The Super Bowl meltdown was not an anomaly that year. All year, the Falcons had jumped out to 21-0 or 24-7 leads at half, only to see their opponents whittle away at the deficits. Most of those games the Falcons held on obviously but it was an issue then and I would be concerned if I was a San Fran fan. But that’s a long way off and a nice problem to have.
 
Interesting thought... all year I’ve thought it would be a Super Bowl 49ers vs the Pats, and what a good story that would be teacher vs student Jimmy G vs Tom Brady and opposing defenses, but now I’m thinking it might be a super bowl rematch 49ers vs Ravens.

Honestly, who knows man. The Saints or Packers could go too in the NFC. Maybe the Seahawks as well. In the AFC, I think it’s the Pats or Ravens. KC blows on d and Mahomes won’t be 100% all year.
 
Could someone explain to me the 49ers turn around? Weren't they really bad a couple of years ago?
 
Steelers on a roll, had just won 4 straight and is currently 5-4. Gonna be a GREAT game tonight. I'm watching.

I have always been a big fan of Tomlin. He looks like will I am from black eyed peas except psycho. Has that quin Snyder look in his eyes.
