Here are my reasons...
1. They excel at mediocrity.
I am going to wait and see who wins the championship. A bandwagon championship is better than no championship... ever.
Let me give you a slightly larger picture just in case you chicken out:
1. Ingles is over the hill. Utah just extended him.
2. Mitchell is an inefficient, cut rate star who can't create a high quality shot when it counts. He's hope's lynchpin.
3. Gobert is either past his peak already or going to enter decline shortly. There is a good possibility a decline for a guy his size and athletic game happens rapidly once it starts. On the positive side, there's also a good chance he gives solid production for a few years and then becomes a serviceable vet like Noah.
4. Conley's contract.
5. No draft picks.
Utah may be mediocre for a couple more years only to be right back in the dreaded rebuild phase once again. Endure the torture that is being a Jazz fan or jump ship like a wuss and deal with the mixture of guilt, emptiness, and lack of true passion that being a passive bandwagon fan will give you. Empty, unfulfilling pleasure.
