What's new

The official: We are sick of this **** thread.

Jazz just need to put talent on the floor. Mudiay, Niang and Ed Davis don't qualify as talent, not by NBA standards.

Problem is we don't have room to maneuver. We had to get these guys due to the massive contract for Mike.

playing fast won't work for this team. not with Conley/Rudy/Joe/Bojan.
I still think you can play a more uptempo offense with these guys. Right now we are doing nothing with this slow paced pass the ball a few times and iso a shot offense. Get the ball upcourt and get it moving before defenses can setup.

Tony jones saying just now. No moves to make this is our team have to make it work. Are you ****ing kidding me. We are supposedly stupid enough to just keep sitting and watching and hoping without any changes. Is this the dam twighlight zone
I mean that is the DL way... we don’t make moves unless we are forced and then we overpay for the ones we needed to make the previous year.

I haven't been watching Jazz this season much because Snyder's MO is suck first half hard and then crush through the last 2-3 months and I don't want to endure that pain.
Anyway, it's a bit of fun seeing people demanding rebuild and crying how **** we are, who were so excited before season started and hyped themselves that the Jazz are clear cut top 3 this season.

If we suck in March, then you can start worrying. Until then just relax.

No he doesn’t.

He has 3 very good nba players and crap. If Conley’s name wasn’t Conley, what exactly would be the difference between he and a 3rd string guard like Trey Burke?
If Jingles name wasn’t Jingles, what would you think?
Bradley, Niang, and Exum aren’t NBA players. Mudiay in all honesty is a fringe NBA player. Ed Davis is essentially Udoh. Royce is a bench player in a starting role for most playoff teams.

We’re not as talented as people think.
really, Royce ain't that good, I'll put him in the same category as the others

In other years when we sucked we still played hard and with heart... just couldn’t shoot or create shots some nights... now we have shooters and creators but are unfocused and miserable... I remember when watching basketball was still fun.

Can't blame tonight on Conley. Someone wasn't guarding their guards. Sloan would have had those players sitting right beside him.

You’re suggesting he plays PF??

Who can we trade? Do we really believe Justin Zanik is getting a lot of calls from teams inquiring about Mudiay? Mike Conley? Do you think there is another team that wants to gamble with the Conley experiment after watching what's been happening with him in Utah? Are we going to trade the 2x DPOY (Rudy)? Or our leading scorer (Mitchell)? Or our best shooter (Bogdanovic)? How about we move Royce O'Neale and his 1.6 million dollar contract? Maybe we could get a late 1st rounder for him.

There are no moves to be made. At best the Jazz could sign a free agent Euro player, and see if they fit, and help. Outside of that, we are waiting for Miye Oni and Jarrell Brantley to turn into something or next year's first round pick to be another Donovan Mitchell type miracle. Although, at this rate, we may get to pick out of the lottery.

If that’s the case, why were everyone of these players playing so much better last season? What is it about Snyder’s micromanagement that’s got everyone so skittish? Oh I know, maybe it’s his micromanagement. At the beginning of the season everyone was like Conley’s slumping but Mudiay’s way better than I expected. Then Quinn started working on him to share the ball more and now the guy can not only not throw a rock in the ocean, he’s a walking turnover machine. Control Freak!

I can only imagine how good our starting lineup would look with Rubio still running the show. He's 6'4" so he helps negate Donovan's shortness, and the chemistry that he would have had with Bogdanovic - it would have been gangbusters.

I think a guy who comes in, rebounds, and has a junkyard bully mentality would do this soft *** team wonders. That's the only reason I said Booker. It could be anybody that would bring toughness and energy
There is a reason why he isnt in the league. A guy that relied on his athleticism and was a mediocre player at best got older.

You can't expect Ingles, Bojan and Niang to guard their guards. That's how OKC beat us. Their guards could score in isolation, and our guys couldn't follow suit. But that said, the Thunder were hitting mid-range shots that the Jazz were letting them have. That seemed to be part of the gameplan.

OKC ended the 1st quarter with a 6-2 run and opened the 2nd quarter with a 10-2 run (a total run of 16-4). From the time Rudy subbed out with 3 mins left in the 1st qtr to the time he subbed back in 4 mins into the 2nd quarter, OKC outscored the Jazz 18-10. OKC never trailed again in the game.

David seems to still be on this train of 'its not the starters'. We know the bench is a$$, but if he's doing this to defend the starters, then you're not fooling me David.

In that 5 game sequence he is mentioning was the brutal Toronto loss where the starters were completely and utterly spanked.

The bench has to be better, and play better. But the starters need to lead by way of also playing better.

Even in this game the starters under performed as by the time the first subs were made, the Jazz were down. Our two offensive weapons today were 14 of 42. How about mentioning that David?

Mudiay tried to pace up multiple times that have resulted in multiple ugly TOs. We simply don't have enough pieces to play fast, as simple as that. Or else we might just get away with having no real PF on this team.

Putting in lineups that are purely based on talents without any regards to player positions/chemistry simply would not work, at least by title contending standard. Unless you have 5 all-time-great type of talents that can iso everything and still be OK.
