Farewell to Dante

Fair play to the lad, hope he can stay healthy and find his place in the league.
I was looking at the clips from last year, and I was surprised that he actually was playing pretty good before the injury. He's had so many injuries, it's hard to remember when he did what. Something happened though I think in preseason, just like something must've happened with Green. People were faulting his effort, but I thought Green was a lot better than Davis.

Well, I can officially collect my bet winnings. Keeping my 100% betting record here intact:).

I’d root for him but God forbid he looks good for an extended period, the incessant I told you so’s about a kid who never stayed healthy here and for the most part sucked when he was, will be insufferable.
This. Kinda hoping he sucks for that reason

Plus I simply don’t like his dumb, pansy *** disposition.

Pretty cold. I think Dante never fit in this system, and Quin tried to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Dante clearly has some talent, and I hope he finds a fit and stays healthy. Injuries have set him back tremendously and never let him put things together. Not a fan of what the Cavs are doing on offense, and their players aren't either.

But unlike others who bring up former players all the time, he's gone, and I'm done with the Dante project. Best of luck to the kid.

In the back of my heart I feel bad for the guy career wise here. Sure he got paid but his career has been a complete disaster from his sophomore season to now. The few times he could stay healthy for stretches, he's shown a few positive things but he never got a full season outside of his rookie year to settle down and find his game. I hold no resentment and hope the guy can stay healthy in Cleveland and be given a chance. I think he has a place in the league.

Quin tried to fit? He didn’t draft him. And what talent does Exum clearly have? Outside of his being born to be a fluffer.

I sincerely hope Dante becomes a 20PPG player. He tortured us with glimpses of talent but he never caused any drama. And I will always feel bad for the way Quin treated him.

Jesus, this is kind of like a funeral.

Dante and his people share a lot of the blame for his viscious pining. When he was sitting game after game he could have gone to Quin and said "what do I need to do to get minutes?" or asked to be sent down to the Stars to scrape the rust off.

I hope the best for the kid. His career has been way worse than I ever thought it would be. But that’s because of injuries. I always rooted for him, because of my own hope after watching the McDonald’s all American game his Rc year. I hope he takes off in Cleveland and becomes what I envisioned. Just not against the Jazz.

I was thinking like a pyre out at sea. Now time to dump his *** in the ocean.
