What's new

I wish we had drafted him instead of Grayson Allen

Time machines are great but we would have had to trade up to get him. I did notice one of his fellow 2017 McDonald's all americans is available to sign: Brandon McCoy playing for the Bucks GLeague team.

My guy was DiVincenzo, who went before us. Someone said DiVincenzo in the Tucker thread. Maybe @NAOS. I like that comparison and would make me happy.

I see some of Troy's qualities in Miye Oni - great passing instintcs minus the better handles. But I think Miye is a far superior athlete. I hope I am right.

out of all those guys that got drafted after Allen, you wanna pick a guy that were drafted before him...?

i mean com'on man, we've got aaron holiday, anfernee simons, moritiz wagner, landry shamet, jalen brunson, devonte graham, mitchell robinson, bruce brown, and hamidou Diallo. all legit nba players who are more likely to stick around in the league for years than allen.

Grayson Allen has been alright. He's having a solid year 2
solid on what exactly? defense or offense? Allen's been a huge negative on both ends for the second year in a row and he's already 24. not to mention the number of games he's missed due to injurry/physical conditions. time is not on his side. China is calling.

Lmao. Oni isn’t close to the player Brown is.
Troy Brown went like 10 spots ahead of our pick. He wasn't attainable. I liked him. Cy liked him. Several people liked him.
I thought he was drafted 18th, am I mistaken on that?
It was pretty much just me
Troy Brown was my guy, but Allen was who I wanted after brown.

People here seriously overrate Oni

Washington drafted Brown at #15. The Jazz were drafting at #21 (I thought we were more like 23). FWIW, I think Rayjon Tucker looks to be as good a prospect at Grayson Allen and Donte Divincenzo, at least in terms of athleticism and scoring.

Reality gets fuzzy for me when I am on Jazzfanz. I always think we can move ten spots in the draft. make crazy trades and still have a couple first rounders each year.

Memphis probably agrees with you.....

quite the opposite, he's having a very solid year so far for them.

allen has a good a chance of any (and more than some on that list) of sticking in the nba

now you're just saying sh*t to say it b/c you hate him. you trashed him all last season and even with him far removed from the jazz you stay on his nuts and keep his name in your mouth constantly. a huge negative on both ends? he's been solid on offense and much improved on defense for memphis. have you watched any of their games or taken a look at his numbers? he would've been the best guard off the bench for utah ahead of mudiay and X if he was still here. you hate him pure and simple and can't be objective when it comes to his game. the only thing hell be getting from china is nikes.

absolutely. can't use logic with those here who hated him from the get go and are clearly biased against him. he's been trending up and been playing quite well for memphis. 23/24 is still so young and allen still has basically a rookie's nba experience given how little quin used him last year. he's going to be a solid pro.
