2 times in NBA history has a player had 20+ points, 15+ rebounds, 5+ blocks and 100% FG%. In 1999 Dikembe Mutombo, and now Rudy Gobert

Just Stifle Tower things

That's the best play on defense I've seen all year. DPOTY

Dpoy whether laker fanbois like it or not

Best Defensive center in the league

Imagine thinking he isn’t an all star

Rudy Gobert: 22 Points 17 Reb 2 Assits and 5 Blocks!!!! Also didn't miss a shot! If there was ever a time to give Rudy the Whoa Boy, tonight is the night!

Most underrated center of this era

There’s clearly a lot of things you don’t know if you think AD should be DPOY over Gobert

MVP caliber game

They always try to thing they are gonna get the easy layup and Gobert blocks it every time!!!!!!

I have a recurring fear of Rudy Gobert appearing out of nowhere to make my life harder

Like I’m playing pickup and I go for a layup and all of a sudden Gobert appears and blocks me

Or I’m taking an exam and I walk to the front to turn it in and Gobert appears and sets a screen

Or I’m trying to reach the top shelf in my kitchen to grab the pasta noodles but Gobert is standing in front of me defending

Rudy has recently been playing like a legit 20/15/3 guy in the league, guarding dudes out onto the perimeter solidly. Best ****ing center in the league, currently. At the very least, he's by FAR the hardest working big out of the best bigs in the league.

At least Hardaway made his clutch three this time but dang Rudy Gobert is something

Bless Gobert. He just saved my parlay.

Delon Is 6'5". Dunk the ball!

To be fair it seemed like he had left Rudy in the dust.

Said no one whose ever watched Gobert once in their life.

That recovery by Rudy was insane. No other center would have been able to turn around to get that block

No, I know how great Gobert is, but his recovery right there was amazing even for him.

Sick *** block by Gobert. Holy ****.

Rudy so quick man

So Gobert's currently 1st Team All-NBA frontrunner, right?

Gobert been clutch af this season

Look at all these crunch time blocks

Rudy scares me

****ing Rudy, goddamn that man is a menace

Gobert win the great block man he won this for yall

come on Rudy dont do this ****

Holy crap, what a play from Gobert.

Gobert dpoy and it isn’t even close

is Gobert always this good tf

**** rudy is good

imagine how amazing he would be had he played in the 80s-90s

I was more impressed by the way that he defended Luka on the iso with 5 fouls and got him to take a tough contested shot a bit earlier in the 4th. His defense is just insane.

He intentionally closes out to the player's left, allowing the drive, rather than to the center of the player's body, which he would have done if he was trying to prevent the drive. Like I said, he was baiting it, he knows his ability to recover.

it seems like many players get beat and still try to stay next to the other player but Gobert just turned and ran to the rim. we all know where the offensive player was going so just meet him at the bucket

how tf is he that fast

Block of the year

Watching Gobert play defense is magical. I watched this entire game and his impact on both ends is incredible. Giannis can have the MVP and Rudy DPOY. Then one day they can switch and Rudy for MVP and Giannis DPOY.

This dude gobert done transformed into his final form

Sacrebleu he's a good defender

He completely dad dicked that lay up, way to go Rudy

Mavs Fan here , I would give everyone up from the Mavs besides Luka and KP to get Gobert. Utah is a really fun team to watch. But Gobert maan first time the whole season Luka pissed his pants before driving against that wall . respect

dude got turned around and still blocked it lol

Get that man to a ****in allstar game

DPoY 3x. ALL-STAR!

The difficulty of that block is nuts. Turning around chasing from behind, catching it before its coming down and hits the rim.

He’s playing out of his mind rn

that block by gobert was unreal

I saw it and thought “surely that was a goal tend!” And then saw it again. Nope, just unreal quickness and recovery by Gobert. That’s what DPOY’s do unfortunately

Wtf he turned the other way then blocked it with his outreach left hand

Rudy Gobert is the ****ing truth.

that was a hell of a block by Gobert down the 4th, gg utah you guys are legit

Man, Gobert is something else. He's expanded his offensive game and looks more agile than ever defensively (and of course is still a fearsome rim protector). That was a fun one.

Gobert should genuinely be in the MVP discussion.

Rudy Gobert is an All Star. Finito.

Gobert finishes against the Mavs with 22/17/2/0/5 on 8/8 shooting with 1 clutch block

This is your 0 time all star right here, he was even switching onto Luka in the 4th pretty seamlessly.

The level that Gobert has been playing these last 20 games is crazy, give him DPOY now.

Never seen anything like that, could only really think of AD capable of that kind of recovery and I wouldn’t have thought Rudy could do it but damn.

He needs to be an allstar no matter how many Lakers nephews really want Kusma and Caruso.

"According to NBA.com's stats, Gobert has the league's best plus-minus (plus-73) in clutch situations, defined as the score being within five points in the final five minutes of regulation or overtime. He also leads the league in clutch field goal percentage (81.8%, minimum 10 attempts) and rebounds (41) and ranks second in clutch blocks (10)."

My favorite quote. If Rudy doesn't make the All Star team then something is seriously wrong.

Rudy with arguably the best defensive play of the year. Not only in terms of the actual play, but also the importance.

And this is my choice for best post of the year.

They actually did that type of thing for a vivent commercial didn't they?

Anyway, always love the bonus edition fan quotes.
