The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Did anybody watch the comments made today? Listening to Dershowitz, I have to say, if I am a Senate Republican and I'm at all on the fence, he presents a compelling and persuasive picture of constitutional law that does not favor impeachment/removal. So important that witnesses be allowed in this trial...

That said, I couldn't shake the fact his arguments regarding commission of crime are 100% opposite his views when prosecuting Clinton.

LOL! We don’t want him! The right can keep him! He’s definitely not one of ours.

what next? Scalia was a tool of the left? Rumsfeld a fool of the left? DICK CHENEY???

Stupidest President Ever. How could people have voted for this guy? Regardless of his corruption, his stupidity was plainly visible from day 1 of his campaign.

Well... Was it that bad of crime? Sure, it was bad it's pretty obvious that this was all an effort to destroy the Biden campaign. And yeah, when you read the Constitution, it sounds even worse. But... It's not that BIG of a deal, right?
  • I mean, did Founding Fathers really think that High Crimes and Misdemeanors were impeachable? After all, the world isn't a smoldering hot nuclear wasteland... And don't think you think Washington ever engaged in bribery? He wasn't any angel. High Crimes and Misdemeanors is old fashioned anyway.
  • So what's the big deal? Besides, Ukraine got the aid.
  • Can't we just let the voters decide instead of reversing the 2016 election?
  • Trump will learn from this to not be a naughty boy and I'm sure he'll be a lot more ethical in the next 5 years.
  • #MAGA?

Trump supporters claiming 100,000+ tickets sold for venue that holds 7500....

South Jersey is more MAGA country then other parts of the state.

Here’s the most frustrating thing for me. There’s zero evidence that the Bidens did anything wrong in Ukraine. Yet despite zero evidence to support this, Republicans assume the Bidens are guilty of some crime.

Despite overwhelming evidence that Trump was up to no good, Republicans still presume him innocent and are making zero effort to find out the truth. Even if it goes against the wishes of 70+ percent of the country, abandons a European ally and empowers our Russian enemy, and leaves us less safe.

The partisanship of the right is just so discouraging.
Partisanship is discouraging, but it is no more prevalent on the left than it is on the right. Your entire posting history is proof of that.

No, no, no-- those were different repercussions. Heads on a pike vs. balls in an urn. See how those are different?

you're confused. Cannibals and Emperors are practical opposites, just like Epstein and Hillary. oh, wait...... It's Pelosi and The Resistance who do the heads on the pikes nowadays, and Hillary who and Epstein who put Bills balls in the urn.

really, bro..... you just need better friends.

While Utah's Committee on Foreign Relations honchos have their heads up Romney's ***, and Mormons are gonna vote for the schmuck, He has destroyed his chances of any political future entirely.

will never be an ambassador to Nigeria or the Falkland Islands, will never be considered a credible or effective leader anywhere, including the shifstream media when this little schifshow blows over.

boosterism will never die, we'll all love our pretty cheerleaders, never the ugly ones like the dems have up on the screen of SSM giants today. People are looking for better media left and right.

Partisanship is not discouraging, it is a sort of brain in a formaldehyde bottle.

I used to think "R" stood for the Rockefeller brand in politics, at least that's how it all looked on the TV coverage of the 1968 Republican Convention, so I never voted for Nixon. Some other guy.... Lyndon LaRouche, I think, who never got any media promotion.

In 1992 some Rockefeller boys put up Bill Clinton to front their takeover of the Dems, too. That gave us the Rockefeller Brain behind the Presidency, under David Rockefeller's artful management. The Rockefellers have given the whole world a good Boss Rape since Carter, but it's all falling apart now. Some dimwit newby is either incompetently or deliberately flushing us down the toilet.

Then up pops beamish Trump who just didn't like to see how it was all going down. He's not going to have a T Party when he's done, but the old Republican Establishment people will never run "their" party again.

It's up to the dems to figure out they live in America and Americans aren't gonna vote for Regressives R or D.

kinda like, really.

It looks like there are a lot of people there. Are you saying there aren't? I don't see anyone claiming over 100K but so what if they did? People of all political persuasions get things wrong, Also, your last sentence is an example of where you confuse the use of "then."

But I thought IMPOTUS only hired the best people.

No, I'm not saying there are not a lot of people there at all. I had read a couple of articles, one claimed 175,000 tickets were sold. I just went with the one that said over 100,000 tickets sold. I just posted those tweets as an example of how he draws crowds. I was impressed by what I was reading. I thought it was newsworthy, to be honest. Drawing a huge crowd in a state usually seen as blue. Not the best news, perhaps, for a Never Trumper like me, but I'm not afraid to post things that are not good news from my perspective. I am never afraid to look at both sides of what is going down in this country.

So, if you think I was posting those tweets in order to dispute them, nope, not at all. Personally, I think it will be very, very, very difficult to beat Trump in 2020. Not afraid to say that either. At this point, I expect Trump to be reelected. And, of course I hope I am wrong.

Now, as to "then", and "than", yeah, I was gonna tell you back whenever, when you first brought it up, that, yes, I take your word for your observation, in fact. In fact, at the time, I found a few examples. I should have told you as much then. So, I'll do it now.

The fact seems to be that, if I don't stop and think before I type, I guess that's a mistake I will make again, and again, and again. I actually went over my words in a couple of replies to you since you brought it up, to make sure it at least did not happen addressing you, lolol. But, I guess it will just keep happening. I'll try harder, Joe....

Trump's defense team is actually making the argument that withholding aid for personal political gain is merely a tool, has a lot of historical precedent (they claimed even Lincoln did it), and that the claim it represents an abuse of power has never been held up. Pretty oily; I guess predictable (?); kinda sickening. They would have us believe it's always been this way, and holding a president accountable now will destroy our democracy. Astounding.

No worries at all. I can't remember exactly why I brought it up, but it was a joke of some type and then it spiraled in the wrong direction as internet things do and I got all this flak for "making it up." It doesn't matter to me if you get it right. Like I said, it's a digital sig.

In regard to the actual post I was responding to, thanks for clarifying what you meant. I definitely misunderstood it the first time I read it.

Did you see the part where one of Trump's lawyers applied the abuse of power definition as given by the House Managers to Obama's "more flexibility after the election" comment? What did you think of that?

I will be in Belarus and Ukraine for two weeks starting at the end of March.

Will be very interesting to compare public attitudes towards the US there to the overwhelmingly positive reception I received in August 2018. A lot happened in those 18 months.

But, you know, I have no real interest in the region or what's going on there.
