Jazz showing interest in Robert Covington

We don't have the picks for Covington. And Minny doesn't have the bad contract necessary to lessen the pick demands.

Conley for Covington/Dieng is the only thought that kind of works. Seems pretty unlikely to me, though I do actually like it.

The contracts of Dieng and Wiggins would like a moment of your time...

Jazz trade:

Conley + 2 first rounders

Minny trade:

Andrew Wiggins + Robert Covington

It actually works on nba trade machine. KAT and Conley is probably a better fit than Wiggins who has disappointed. Jazz get depth at the wing and move Mitchell to the 1.

I am not saying I love it but Wiggins is on a bad contract for what he delivers.

If we find a home for Wiggins, sure. We aren't talking Wiggins. Ain't happening in my opinion. Personally, I would risk it, but I don't think our FO wants him.

What about this guys. Forget Covington due to the pick cost:

Knicks get Wiggins and NWG
Wolves get Conley
Jazz get Randle, Frank and a 2nd from Minny

Knicks roll the dice on Wiggins becoming something as the main man. What do they have to lose really?

Wolves add culture that Conley provides to Towns. They could still target Russell if they want using Covington.

Jazz get a good front court player, a great perimeter defender, and replace one of our 2nd rounders. We also save $10 million for next season.
