It’s a weird fit for Phoenix but that’s a solid deal for Detroit.I actually quite like Kennard. But if Detroit is trading him, maybe they know something about his medicals that are worrisome.
I think we could have whatever we want in that mix for Mike. I’d actually want Bullock and Dotson more than most of those guys. Wing defense and shooting on the cheap.I've got my eye on the Knicks. They are terrible and they will have a high pick in a weak draft. They need new culture in the worst way and their pick won't improve them much.
Guys I would take from NY:
Julius Randle - sure his defense sucks, but he's a bucket and a rebound when we need one sometimes.
Bobby Portis - high upside, some risk. Improves our front court depth.
Taj Gibson - he is an improvement for bench big depth.
Frank Ntilikina - been high on the kid for a while. He is the perimeter defender we desperately need in addition to O'Neale.
I think we could get the guys above on the cheap. I also think NY might be the type team who really wants Conley due to his impact on culture.

Good points. I didn't delve into the roster too much, but those guys have value too. I think Dotson probably has a higher price tag due to his bargain deal.I think we could have whatever we want in that mix for Mike. I’d actually want Bullock and Dotson more than most of those guys. Portis is a guy I’d buy low on next year if we thought we could fix him... try and get him on a 2-3 year value deal.
We aren’t trading Mike but it’s a fun exercise to consider
BTW, Phoenix is giving up the playoff chase and Baynes probably is available.
Allonzo Trier is also someone worth a look. He was a fan favorite in NY last season and has been underused by the terribly managed Knicks. I doubt he resign so if we might be able to get him cheap since Knicks may not wanna lose him for free in the summer.I've got my eye on the Knicks. @Handlogten's Heros Locke today saying the same thing about Covington that you are... that he thinks the idea of the player is actually better than the player. He's also a bit off on some cap stuff, but whatevs.
PHO is all about weirdness. UTA should be proactive to take advantage of them. It’s a weird fit for Phoenix but that’s a solid deal for Detroit.

Not many non-star players in this league could embarrass PJ tucker like that. Could be used as another weapon against them comes playoffs. And a pretty good backup option if we fail to bring back JC in the summer

Yeah we were frickin terrified by PJ Tucker versus Hou the other night. And this Trier guy is basically like “**** it Tucker bring it on” and went after him all night. And yes, anyone stuck on that Knicks team right now should show some attitude and rightfully soI’d be intrigued by him... I think he has some attitude issues or some **** because that dude should play. He was electric at times... terrible defender but he gets where he wants too.
Noel would be a good backup C, yes. However I'm impressed with Tony Bradley and want him to keep getting minutes. Part of his problems are about playing alongside hideous defenders like Niang. Also Mudiay has been good and should be considered a long term piece especially if Clarkson leaves a few months later. Also Conley's contract expires next season. Then Utah might end up having no rotation PGs on the roster minus Don.Utah gets Nerlens Noel
Minny gets Emmanuel Mudiay
OKC gets Keita Bates Diop
Who says no?
Jazz get the backup big they need in exchange for an expendable piece. This deal makes sense for Minny if they strike out in their attempt for D'Lo or other big name PG's. OKC dumps an expiring that they may not want to pay to keep for a young player on a cheap deal with a couple years left and they still have Muscala as a backup C
Any rookie that is able to show a little bit in that awful magnifying glass of a **** show is worthy of consideration... it is almost a plus that they aren't playing him. He's like **** yall, yall suck let me do this and they aren't having it.Yeah we were frickin terrified by PJ Tucker versus Hou the other night.
