2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

I'll be legit shocked if a trade is made, even though I'd like to see something. My guess is the FO feels like this slump is an anomaly and they like what they have out there. That or they don't but are afraid of disrupting team chemistry.

what a joke of a front office, they really love being pretenders

It’s great to have patience... but we have to be more nimble... we make moves around the dyes a lot but the big moves we take way longer than we should.

It’s also a bet that Russell sucks and doesn’t make Minny better. Surprised they couldn’t get a little more. That Wiggins deal is rough.

Before this trade, I would have rated the GS front office as the best I've ever seen for what they've done the last 5-6 years. The Russell move had me shaking my head but at least they got something for Durant. Russell obviously didn't fit. Now, they gamble on Wiggins. Interesting times.

Sometimes, the best move is no move. Like, don't go get Mike Conley.

Correct. Making the playoffs every year is successful. Drafting steals like Rudy and Donovan = success. Finding gems like Ingles and Oneale = success. Stealing Clarkson in trade was a good move.

I understand this losing streak is frustrating. But damn people need to stop overreacting.

dude I've been a fan for over 30 years and its not only this losing streak. this offseason we went all in. somethings didn't go our way, we need to fix them. I applaud Zantacs for his drive to get those guys because I can't say DL would have had the same hunger.

I still like the move to get Conley.

It hasn't worked out so far, but forever this FO was so ****ing passive. Sometimes when you roll the dice you crap out, but I'd rather see rolls of the dice.

I'm trying to think of a Jazz trade that was worse than the Conley trade. I honestly can't think of one.

I'm all for trading, but I hated what we sent. There was no market for Mike Conley yet we still sent them TWO 1st round picks and valuable role players for him. We telegraphed our move and lost all leverage.

Trading for Conley wasn't too dumb. Trading what we did for Conley was bonafide idiotic.

Pistons turned down a Celtics offer for Christian Wood. Doesn't look like he's getting moved.

I still want Demare Carroll for Ed Davis, if only because we need someone with energy to come off the bench
I may go look it up, but I swear we get zero loose balls... the second group needs something.

Skal for nothing. I get that it was probably a financial move but that’s the kind of guy we could use.
